Game Time : Monday 7

Game Story ; Yet another chance to win 3 in a row only this time the odds are against us and the situation is grim. The one team we can almost never beat but we have this new goalie who is securing his reputation as a miracle worker

We'll probably see him Tuesday or Thursday.

Maurice said Copp and Petan will probably both see time on the wing in Staf's place but really, for how long? Laine is back shortly.

If Bernier is starting, he has a .899 sv% with a 7-4-1 record.

... Hence the 'day-to-day' quote.  Very perceptive.

Just watched Laine's interview and i don't think he will play Tuesday....he says a couple more practices.

Floyd, A "mere flesh wound" kept Petan out for how many weeks?

You're about as unoriginal as it gets, man.

I wasn't trying to be original, I was quoting Maurice after Petan go hurt.

A mere flesh wound turned into weeks so you shouldn't always believe what the Jets' management always say.

Weird, it seemed like you were implying that Laine was tough and Petan was fragile.

But if it was me, I'd hold Laine out as long as possible...  Still think this season is a write off and why risk rushing him back.

Let him make his return debut at the all-star game.

Not at all, I don't think either are fragile...If you remember correctly, Maurice was asked after a game how serious Petan's injury was and he answered, "a mere flesh wound". He didn't dress for over two weeks after that game. I think it turned out to be a hip flexor.

I have no problems with Laine coming back if he is given the green light.
