iHeart Posted February 4, 2017 Report Posted February 4, 2017 he's probably saving it for after the game
Floyd Posted February 4, 2017 Report Posted February 4, 2017 why are Laine and Ehlers on second powerplay unit... this is ridiculous
iHeart Posted February 4, 2017 Report Posted February 4, 2017 I have feeling that Hell Will be in net on tuesday
Ducky Posted February 4, 2017 Report Posted February 4, 2017 he better be he he should have been in for this one Goalie 1
iHeart Posted February 4, 2017 Report Posted February 4, 2017 yeah I kind of agree, I should have said that the rule should apply here, I wish I could reach Maurice on that issue and suggest this to him
iHeart Posted February 4, 2017 Report Posted February 4, 2017 (edited) well pav is out of the net the game is essentially over for tomorrow's super bowl I am planning on doing a scorecard discussion......on the commercials Edited February 4, 2017 by iHeart
Brandon Posted February 4, 2017 Report Posted February 4, 2017 Yeesh lots of ugly play in our end and why do we struggle cycling the puck on power play....
Ducky Posted February 4, 2017 Report Posted February 4, 2017 This is how I saw it before the game... 28 games left and 90 points to make the playoffs so with 54 points we needed 36 points out of a possible 56 or 18 wins and that would allow us 10 losses. Every time we lose, we lose 10% of our chance to make the playoffs. We lost today so we lost 10% and can only lose another 9 games. Pitiful, pitiful game. Sure hope Helle is in net next game, can't see a reason why not.
FrostyWinnipeg Posted February 4, 2017 Author Report Posted February 4, 2017 Lost to COL?!?! Mark F and Goalie 2
Floyd Posted February 4, 2017 Report Posted February 4, 2017 Classic Jets... finally put three together and then they are not prepared to keep winning. Or just don't care. Ehlers and Laine playing peewee hockey. Buff playing at halfspeed. Jets must have had a good Friday night. Why is Thorburn in the lineup if teams can still run our best players at will? Is 5 minutes a game really intimidating anyone? Ducky 1

Goalie Posted February 4, 2017 Report Posted February 4, 2017 I don't want to be a broken record but.. coaching is a huge problem. Anyone hear Maurice's pre game comments? He expected a grinding type of game in other words we are going to play the style of hockey Colorado plays instead of playing our style of speed and skill. We have a tendency to play down to our opponents level and play their game instead of making them play to our strengths. This isn't the first time this has happened this season either. Not blaming Pav but 851 save percentage ain't gonna get it done The Unknown Poster 1

Avalanche have been run-and-gun since day one.

Jets let them run and gun on them tho
bustamente Posted February 4, 2017 Report Posted February 4, 2017 Any other teams leading scorer being targeted like what Zadorov did would have eventually lead to pier 7 brawl you can't let a guy skate around all game trying to injure your team mates, Jets did nothing about this all game . The question has been asked why is Thorburn on this team he hardly plays and rarely wins a fight he is a glorified cheer leader and at this point get him a megaphone so he can yell look out as the Jets players are run into the ground. Seen it over and over.
Mark F Posted February 4, 2017 Report Posted February 4, 2017 any team with average goalie, and slightly above average defence should beat the Jets.

The precedent was set when McCabe flattened Laine and Scheif stuck up for him right away and then it was forgotten......next time Eichel steps on the ice, Thorbs or whoever should have run him through the boards. Nothing was done. The whole league saw this. You can't let anyone do that to any player on your team let alone the top players. I don't care if it is a home or away game...the Jets shouild have set the example, if you want to run Laine, your star gets run too. Today, Duchene should hae been run at constantly and the goalie too. I would have started a bloody war both games....if you had started it the first game, chances are you don't have to start another one. I know a lot of people say there is no place for this in the game but this is exactly the place for it. This isn't game 7 of the finals. bustamente and Floyd 2
bustamente Posted February 5, 2017 Report Posted February 5, 2017 Looked at tonight's Bruins/ Leaf game Mcquade took Mathews into the boards rudely and Martin came off the bench and went right after him, didn't work to well for Martin but that's besides the point.

Exactly, there has to be consequences.
