But he had .912 save percentage.

Most people on here would rather have the stats than the wins.  I honestly don't care what the save percentages are,  I would rather have the win.

Actually no. But you can keep waving your Pavs flag until the entirety of your self respect has evaporated. Pavs stats over more than a small sample size would result in far less wins than Helles.

The only stats that mattered when Pavs played was goals scored for the jets.  But please, go on.

Putting words in other people'smouths?

I ask a question whether he played below league average and now I am saying goals scored don't count? Take a look in the mirror.

Are you 12 years old?  You go on and on defending Pavs. But criticize Helle for having a better save percentage.

Higher save percentage and lower GAA will result in more wins over time. You take a very small sample size to argue because you can't admit you're wrong.  Like Rich said it's tiring seeing your nonsense all the time. You're wrong. Just accept it.

I don't know where to begin with this one....who was talking about Pavs?

My selfrespect? Really? From someone that said he would rather see stats for the measly 6-8 games a back up is going to get for the rest of the season compared to wins for the rest of the season? Math is obviously not your strong point. I want to see the team win, regardles of a freaking goalie's stats for the remaining games he would play this season...I am talking about PAvs now and Hutch if you don't understand.

Again, nobody was talking about your buddy Pavs but do you kow how much time it would take for the difference between Hutch's and Pavs' sv% to even produce two goals?

They are lucky if either of them plays 10 more games this season.

Here is a stat for you....8 games 4 wins vs. 17 games 4 wins. Only a complete fool takes the latter to play in maybe 10 games.

So if things are going like last year does that mean the 2nd pick overall after the lottery.:)

You mean there's more q picks after the top 2?

Buff is still good. He's just not as good. He's still in the top 10 of d men scoring in the league

Yeah Buff is good. He'd be great if we were a playoff team.

Helle played well enough to win last night IF he had received the same goal support Pav has enjoyed this year.  This has been the most telling stat among the results we have seen.  Pav has won more frequently because he has received the most goal support.

Per stats.hockeyanalysis.com, here is the goals support received by Jets goalies this year:

Pav :  3.82 per 60min played

Helle: 2.88 per 60

Hutch:  1.92 per 60.

Maybe they are more defensive cause they don't trust the goalie.

Maybe they just suck?

Yeah guess they trust the goalie who lets in goals early in the game

Lol. Helle is better than pavelec and it's not even close or debatable. This idea the team has more confidence with pavelec is complete horseshit

Just a theory. What else to explain why they only score with Pav in net other then he came up just when we played a bunch of bad teams or teams with goaltending problems.

Fun fact

When pav and helle start and finish a game and the Jets score 4 or more goals they win 100 percent of the time.  When they score less than 4... pav has yet to win a game... helle has won several. So your idea that they score more with pav in net? It's another bullshit line

That's mainly it. Backups and backups to the backups.

Pav gets almost 4 goals per game support, Hutch gets the short end of the straw at less than 2.

Helle let in 3 last night, If Jets score 4, like they have in most of Pav's games, the team wins.

Wins is a team stat.  PERIOD.

No that's correct. That's just average goal support.  2.88 is less than 4. Helle has some shutouts. He's had games where he let's In 2. He's  had games where he let's in 1.  Jets have won most those games. Pav has yet to have a game where's he's let in less than 3
