yup - lot of what if's this year that make the difference, what if we had better goal-tending, what if Bryan Little hadn't gotten hurt in the first game of the season, what if Trouba hadn't held out and had played all year, what if Calgary hadn't suddenly gotten good for some reason, what if we had signed at least one free agent goalie/defenseman so we didn't have to play guys like Postma, Melch and Nogier (though we've been winning with Nogier and Melch, just like we won with Melch in the line-up last year too, what's the nature of that David Suzuki?), what if we hadn't had that horrible schedule this year....lots to ponder.

Next year it will be interesting to see who makes the line-up.  I think it's time to say good-bye to Thorbs, but I also don't see the point of bringing up a new young kid to play 5 minutes a night or whatever the 4th line is getting.  Petan is kind of wasted on the 4th line too.  Will he move up?  Or will he be moved out?

Well at this point we looking at a new goalie, lhd and 1-2 forwards

Petan tough choice. Play the AHL hoping for a chance or be a star in Europe.

Jets might be the only organization that can make its fans have mixed feelings about a five game winning streak.

14-3-3 without Enstrom this season... just sayin'

Wonder if Jets would be a playoff team if they had admitted that Stafford was a plug back in October... instead of giving him top 6 ice time.

Interesting read if you put any stock into the numbers

Bruins are in the playoffs now, with Stafford.

Stafford is not the reason the Jets are not in the playoffs. He certainly was not going to help this team get into the playoffs but he wasn't anywhere near the biggest problem.

Don't worry, I'm not blaming Stafford for everything... this team had multiple problems.

I remember reading this one...   there were a couple things that stuck out:

- Enstrom drops from a #1 to a 3rd pairing when the Jets move to the Central

- Since then his best numbers were in a season where he only played 60 games - and the Jets - again - had a great record without him.

Enstrom's 2016-2017 WAR will be his worst.  He is 3rd pairing at best now - but Jets are still playing him against the oppositions top players...

Its not Enstrom or Stafford per se, its playing vets in roles that they were good at three years ago.

Melchiori and Nogier might be AHLers but they slow down the play and can clear the front of the net.
