iHeart Posted March 24, 2017 Report Posted March 24, 2017 oh crap I forgot that Bishop is a goalie here now, we are likely screwed
Goalie Posted March 24, 2017 Report Posted March 24, 2017 Just to put this playoff nonsense to rest.... Nashville has 83 points... tied with St Louis.. st Louis is 3rd in the central. Nashville is the last wild card team. Jets have 73 points and what including tonight 9 Gamez remaining... let's assume Nash and ST Louis only win 3 more games... it will be more... but 3 more wins gives them 89 points. .. jets if they win out can only hit 91 points. No playoffs

iHeart Posted March 24, 2017 Report Posted March 24, 2017 wasn't Bishop in goal last time we played against the Bolts?
FrostyWinnipeg Posted March 24, 2017 Author Report Posted March 24, 2017 (edited) 1st Period Perreault with the deflection 1-0 Interesting stat by Wiebe - Mathieu Perreault has six goals and 17 points during his past 15 games. And what of Laine? How many more extra replay cams is the NHL gonna add next year? Blue lines a couple and another for the net? Jets 3 on 2 and Perreault a meter off side. 1-1. 5 on 3 powerplay. This should be interesting for the Jets. Ugly goal but I and Laine take it. 2-1 And thats the end of the first. We got the lead? I'll take that! Edited March 24, 2017 by FrostyWinnipeg
Floyd Posted March 24, 2017 Report Posted March 24, 2017 Beyond comprehension to see Laine-Little-Ehlers as our third line... Laine just looks like all his energy has been drained by Maurice's overthinking.

iHeart Posted March 24, 2017 Report Posted March 24, 2017 he says he's not paying attention to his goal drought

Laine didn't tail off until Maurice split him and Scheif... before that he was on pace for a point a game. He looks lost on the RHD on the powerplay... no chance of a one timer - but that's Maurice's strategy... so I guess its working. ha FrostyWinnipeg 1

Another must win to keep pace game. Edited March 24, 2017 by FrostyWinnipeg
iHeart Posted March 24, 2017 Report Posted March 24, 2017 (edited) for a second there I thought Ben Bishop was going in the box wait he does have a penalty? so how come he's still in net? Edited March 24, 2017 by iHeart
FrostyWinnipeg Posted March 24, 2017 Author Report Posted March 24, 2017 (edited) Good 1st period for the most part. Fast pace. Tanev doing what he does pasting the opposition into the boards. Pretty happy. Edited March 24, 2017 by FrostyWinnipeg

Floyd Posted March 24, 2017 Report Posted March 24, 2017 Look at that, Laine back in his old spot and gets a goal
iHeart Posted March 24, 2017 Report Posted March 24, 2017 that's dumb. Why should they serve a goalie's punishment?
Goalie Posted March 24, 2017 Report Posted March 24, 2017 Oh Nashville and St Louis both won tonight so yeah.... nail on the coffin for the Jets with 2 more losses or 2 more wins for Nash and St L
Goalie Posted March 24, 2017 Report Posted March 24, 2017 Just now, iHeart said: that's dumb. Why should they serve a goalie's punishment? Because you can't have an empty net on the power play. Seriously? This is basic rules
FrostyWinnipeg Posted March 24, 2017 Author Report Posted March 24, 2017 (edited) 2nd Period Hope everyone had a ******* Snickers during the break! Wheeler showed up tonight. 5 min in, Jets controlling a lot of the 2nd period play but not many really good scoring chances. Jets call a time out to give players on ice a rest. Not sure if they showing a Gretzky goal or reaaallly bad Canucks goaltending. Helle making up for bad D. Good 2nd period for him so far. Bad Copp. Kings PP. Queen on the keyboard? Whats up with Bishop, on his butt, frozen like a dear in headlights. Jets hanging on, be lucky to leave second with a lead. Not lucky unless its goaltender interferrence. 2-2. Edited March 24, 2017 by FrostyWinnipeg
FrostyWinnipeg Posted March 24, 2017 Author Report Posted March 24, 2017 (edited) 3rd Period Anyone's game. Our young legs need to come through. Penalty to Morrissey. Fock. 3-2. Little takes a penalty now. 4-2. For a late game it ended early. Man our goal song sucks compared to just about every other city. Buff and Morr both out of game with injuries. Edited March 24, 2017 by FrostyWinnipeg
Floyd Posted March 24, 2017 Report Posted March 24, 2017 Standing still waiting for Gaborik to get set up... ugh.
Floyd Posted March 24, 2017 Report Posted March 24, 2017 LOL @ Laine on Right side D and then Strait replacing him on the PP
