The Unknown Poster Posted May 5, 2017 Report Posted May 5, 2017 Although to be fair there is a persistent sense that Malkin's game elevates when Crosby is hurt. And if thats true, there is probably something to be said for a player who watches Crosby's work ethic every single day.

Goalie Posted May 5, 2017 Report Posted May 5, 2017 (edited) Malkin is also a center tho and ovi is a winger. Bit of a difference. Like I said tho Ovi isnt the only problem there. Laine is not similar to ovi at all actually. Minus the obvious one timer but Laine at 18 was more of a playmaker than ovi ever was. Edited May 5, 2017 by Goalie Atomic 1

Noeller Posted May 5, 2017 Author Report Posted May 5, 2017 Ovi would likely do better being "Kessel-ed".....don't have to be the star, just be a contributor. But, as mentioned, he'd likely have to take a cut...

The Unknown Poster Posted May 5, 2017 Report Posted May 5, 2017 Well he's only got four years left. Any team that thinks they have a chance to win AND has cap space...maybe. they take a shot. Carolina?

Yeah that's exactly it, if he's your best player you're not winning a damned thing, but if he's riding shotgun to a real star then maybe you got a chance. It really goes to show how teams with their best player as a winger are lacking where team that have the top centre do much much better. Noeller 1

Goalie Posted May 5, 2017 Report Posted May 5, 2017 Doubt they are the nordiques anytime soon. Normally it's a less obvious team. Think Florida or something like that for QC
FrostyWinnipeg Posted May 6, 2017 Report Posted May 6, 2017 Anaheim scores 3 in last 3 minutes with goalie out to tie game. Going to O.T.
The Unknown Poster Posted May 6, 2017 Report Posted May 6, 2017 JusT looking at last nights results. How deflated is Edmonton right now. Up 3-0. Lose 4-3 in double OT? Goalie makes 64 saves. Can they rebound?

iHeart Posted May 6, 2017 Report Posted May 6, 2017 oh come on that should not have counted I don't care if it crossed the line the puck was caught in the glove
Mark F Posted May 6, 2017 Report Posted May 6, 2017 (edited) anderson abandoned by his teammates. kind of a low skill goal to tie the game 3 all. exciting game though. do not like Ron Mclean. Edited May 6, 2017 by Mark F
iHeart Posted May 6, 2017 Report Posted May 6, 2017 I should have also said no more overtime for god sakes no more overtime, where was all this overtime when the jets needed it during regular season, all this overtime, right here, right now, could have got them into the playoffs right now, but even then we'd be struggling against those stupid ducks
Mark F Posted May 6, 2017 Report Posted May 6, 2017 (edited) lundqvist gives up some big rebounds..... like that last one. great game. Edited May 6, 2017 by Mark F
