Lefevour winning the no2 spot with apodaca winning the development spot.

Only rarely does the starting QB play all 18 games .... Lapo did a good job turning Glenn into a real QB .... I hope he can do this with Davis & Lefevour this year ... I expect they will both get time but this might be the year that Lefevour turns the corner .... otherwise he is just a hack and we will need Davis to step up

I think last year was the only time Lapo and KG were on the same team together. KG has long been established as a QB and didn't see the field at all with us so I doubt Lapo had any impact on him

Lapo: Argos (01), Bombers (02-03), Ticats (04-05), Argos (06), Riders (07-09), Bombers (10-12), Bombers (16-present)

Glenn: Riders (01-03), Argos (04), Bombers (04-08), Ticats (09-11), Stamps (12-13), Redblacks (14), Lions (14), Riders (15) Als (15-16), Bombers (16), Riders (present)

That's a "hack" of a post. :D

The year Glenn broke his arm before we got to the GC .... Glenn till then was a wild card ..... Lapo taught him the quick short game which stuck with Glenn forever after ... not that he became a superstar but he was a serviceable QB after that season

LaPolice wasn't with the Bombers at any point during Glenn's first tenure. Glenn was a MOP nomination in 2007, BTW. Kit Cartwright was the OC that season.

Until last season, LaPolice and Glenn had never worked together.

I think you may be referring to the "other" Lapo, Kit Cartwright, who was the Bombers OC back then ;)

I stand corrected .... must have been the coach we fired a season later .... that angry looking Berry type

Ouch.

In the post Bud Grant era the longest term we had was Dave Ritchie ..... nearly 5 years .... IMHO we would have done well to stick with him even longer (possibly for a rebuild)

Off and on Cal Murphy got nearly 7 years of coaching in ... possibly the best we had outside of Mike Reilly

Let's be honest, in the entire history of the Bomber Organization we've had 4 maybe 5 good to great coaches, that splains a lot ...

Especially the current drought. Practically been a new coach every other year since the last championship...

MOS is almost going on 4 years, considering his record in the first 2 seasons, that's miraculous.

It was about damn time the organization try a different approach, instead of the typical give-in-to-pressure kneejerk nonsense.

Stability is key to build a strong team and brand. Last season was proof of that, IMO.

By that reasoning then we should have stuck with Doug Berry ... how would have that turned out?

We don't know. But yes, I think the organization should've stuck with Berry, instead of hiring that clown Mike Kelly. He singlehandedly destroyed this franchise back in 2009.

He had a lot of help also though ...

This has to be a critical year for O'Shea's reign here. Yes, the team got into the playoffs last year but that has to be the absolute minimum for this one. Patience is well and good but  it has to pay off.
