You can't make the club from the tub....unfortunately we will most likely be bidding adieu to Thorpe...Second time he's come up lame in a short period of time....Can you say 'Richards'.....oh wait a minute

Agree.

Lankford earned the right to be McDuffie's replacement.

I think they keep Thorpe for potential and I suspect L. Washington earned at least a PR offer. Lankford just seems meh.

Agree on P, Scott, Smalley too.

I think #27 Robert Porter, who got at least two PI calls gets the old apple and the road map.

Yep, I think Lankford earns the job as returner and backup receiver.  Whether they go with Stafford or Washington as the starting receiver is hard to say.  Thorpe and maybe Williams to the PR for now, even though Williams did nothing in two games.

Edit: Scratch that, forgot about Fogg.

I hope we can do better than Lankford on returns. Thorpe - the knee did not look good. Which is too bad because I wanted to see what he had. Won't be surprised though, if he is done.

Way too many Americans on that active roster. Something seems way off about it, there's like 8 American defensive backs and a bunch of linebackers and receivers. But only 46 guys?

Anyways ... I think Jeffcoat made the active roster with his play. He'll be a DI in my opinion.

Brian Walker did enough to get a practice roster spot, as did Santos-Knox. Not sure where Liggins and Williams end up as receivers, but I hope they stick around.

It's so tough to say though, our roster management was very poor yesterday in my opinion on the offensive side of the ball. Defensively, they were rotating guys all over the place ... Scott, Butcher, Temple, Alexander, Walker ... a whole bunch of guys got time with the ones. Offensively, we trotted out the same alignments every time minus the blocking fullback that kept rotating. The only time guys like Liggins and Williams got to show their stuff was in the fourth quarter and even then, it was the Ryan Lankford show. Not sure why Lankford was the only guy who fielded any punts either. Let these guys show their stuff.

Did Bruce Johnson played?

Yeah .. he played, along with the rest of the starters, in the first half .. was the DB who got beat on Edmonton's first TD.

Need to get Flanders on the active roster and use him.  The guy is a weapon, also makes Harris more effective and likely to make 18 games.

This I agree with. Not sure why they didn't give him an opportunity to show value in other spots, like on returns. He's WAY more important than a guy like Lankford to our success on offense. That run he had in the third (I think?) was incredible.

Pretty sure you will Jeffcoat and Johnson on the AR, prob a d-back or knocked off and in import linebacker, and I would think 2 of only Thomas, Ekakitie and Butcher...not all three as we already will have Corney and Westerman as Canadian D-lineman so that would be excessive.

Agreed, those guys are the 2 that in my opinion bring the most to the table and I think have best upside.

Williams as well is a receiver who loves to block and is very adept at putting guys on their can...and he plays cover on special teams, well he did in NCAA , but not sure they had him doing it on punt teams here yet. Kinda shocked they didnt get them more involved, but both were late additions to camp so perhaps they aren't where they need to be yet. But hoping they are kept

Numerically it is correct.  25 Americans and 21 Canadians.  2 Americans would be on the reserve.

Bingo. Williams could easily be what they want Sheppard to be - and more.

Yup....and it may be time for him to leave.....

Johnson burned for 2 TDs last night. One pass and one where he blew the angle on the Perkins 49 yard run. Although to be fair, Hurl and Westerman also were trapped on the Perkins run.

6"3" 230...4.5 speed...hands and nose for yac and not afraid of contact...as well as young...what can't u like about Williams...and Liggons is a bit smaller version of the same thing
