Mr Dee Posted June 23, 2017 Report Posted June 23, 2017 CALGARY AT OTTAWA 7:30 ET No Henry Burris, no Earnest Jackson, no Chris Williams. But, they do have a Trevor Harris. No Cordero Law, no Bakari Grant. But they do have BL Mitchell, probably the most consistent QB in the league. The RedBlacks are coming off an 8-9-1 record and the Stamps had a record of 15-2-1 Ottawa should have an easier time to maintain that record than Calgary will with theirs… I expect Khalil Bass to once again, be chasing Jerome Messam, rather than stopping him close to the line of scrimmage… And the question for me is..will Harris be able to maintain a high degree of efficiency in leading this RedBlack team? OF NOTE: Charlton Hughes has 88 sacks.. Jerome Messam - Has 4,468 career rushing yards and is only 532 away from 5,000 The CFL season opens with the previous SEVEN Grey Cups having been won by SEVEN different teams Calgary to win? Yes Mark F, Fatty Liver and Atomic 3
JCon Posted June 23, 2017 Report Posted June 23, 2017 (edited) This could be the best game of the week. I'm expecting the Stamps to walk all over the RedBlacks but I usually underestimate the RBs. Edited June 24, 2017 by JCon Not sure how I deleted "underestimate" when I corrected my poor grammar.
Jpan85 Posted June 23, 2017 Report Posted June 23, 2017 Did not know that Trevor Harris is older than Matt Nichols
Taynted_Fayth Posted June 23, 2017 Report Posted June 23, 2017 would love a RB upset over the Stamps tonight. BC and EDM end in a tie and the "Football Gods" actually wear blue and gold
rebusrankin Posted June 23, 2017 Report Posted June 23, 2017 I'd like to see a big game from Messam and Sinopoli (since I have both in CFL Fantasy) and a Redblacks win.
Arnold_Palmer Posted June 23, 2017 Report Posted June 23, 2017 I took the RedBlacks on playnow to win. They're at home, I think Trevor Harris is a good QB, obviously Calgary is a great football team but anything can happen in football and I'm going to give a little respect to the defending grey cup champs.
Taynted_Fayth Posted June 23, 2017 Report Posted June 23, 2017 calgary always seems to be most susceptible to losing early in the season too so I think Ottawa has a chance.
Mr Dee Posted June 23, 2017 Author Report Posted June 23, 2017 (edited) I didn't notice it myself because there are so many fine players in the top 50 players in the CFL, but it was pointed out that Marquay McDaniel was left out of the top 50 again. That guy is a prized possession. They should make it the top 51...? Edited June 23, 2017 by Mr Dee
Mark F Posted June 23, 2017 Report Posted June 23, 2017 (edited) Only team in the CFL that I really dislike is Stampeders. Love seeing BLM lose. interesting to see how harris does this year. Not sure he's all that great. Edited June 23, 2017 by Mark F Mr Dee and Sard 2

wbbfan Posted June 24, 2017 Report Posted June 24, 2017 wow that return talk about turning nothing into some thing.
Brandon Posted June 24, 2017 Report Posted June 24, 2017 That Ottawa fumble fighting for useless extra yards totally changed the momentum of this game... Also the refs getting the wrong call yet again with a clear Calgary fumble. wbbfan, Starman115 and JCon 3

rebusrankin Posted June 24, 2017 Report Posted June 24, 2017 Jake Ireland was a terrible ref his entire career, so of course the CFL puts him in charge of the Command Centre.
Taynted_Fayth Posted June 24, 2017 Report Posted June 24, 2017 I did like Duane Fords comment about "Having a solid pair of onions" to weather that hit that calgary player took. got a little chuckle out of that wbbfan, Atomic and Noeller 3
SpeedFlex27 Posted June 24, 2017 Report Posted June 24, 2017 Brescanin on that particular play survived a hellacious hit then another hard tackle after that. Atomic 1
Atomic Posted June 24, 2017 Report Posted June 24, 2017 Really like Calgary's Canadian receivers. Definitely the best set in the league. Tracker and TBURGESS 2

As for the game, reffing/replay aside, it was at least exciting. Two teams I absolutely despise, but I enjoyed watching it purely for entertaining CFL football. GCJenks and Mark H. 2

Jpan85 Posted June 24, 2017 Report Posted June 24, 2017 If he. Wraps him up and does not try kill him he probably drops right there.
