Interesting to see if an all East game can offer up the same amount firepower as last night.

Uneasy feeling as a Cat fan. Week one shouldnt be a must win for anyone but TOR might feel desperate to give a struggling market something to feel god about right away. Argos might be hungrier as a result

Two starters missing in HAM secondary. Demond Washington makes debut.

Ex Cats on TOR defense, Bear Woods should provide enough for TSN to flog whilst they're not flogging Ray, Green and Trestman

The season for both Ticats & Argos relies heavily on their starting QBs - how long can they stay healthy?

Hamilton at Toronto -Drew Edwards

http://3downnation.com/2017/06/24/depth-charts-storylines-heading-ticats-v-argos/

The Ticats have an odd start to the CFL season: a road game, followed by a bye week, followed by a road game. They will also play West Division teams – against whom they went 2-8 last season – for the next six weeks.

-defensive backs Abdul Kanneh and Emanuel Davis are out this week.

-the Ticats have only listed six Canadian starters which means the team will use multiple combinations on defence to get to seven

-the Ticats put Davis, safety Craig Butler, defensive tackle Evan Gill, receiver Giovanni Aprile and quarterback Everett Golson on the 6-game injured list.

The Argos will start three former Ticats in the secondary, with Rico Murray, Johnny Sears and Cassius Vaughn all making the move during the off-season.

-Quarterback Jeff Mathews is also in Toronto after two years in Hamilton. Former Ticat coach Tommy Condell and linebacker Kevin Eiben are also part of Trestman’s staff.

-There are a few former Alouettes as well, including last year’s CFL Most Outstanding Defensive Player Bear Woods and defensive tackle Alan-Michael Cash.

-Ticats quarterback Zach Collaros had 16 wins against nine losses as a starter in 2014 and 2015; but he was just 3-7 last year. Collaros has missed 14 of a possible 36 starts in the last two seasons.

-The Ticats were 1-7 last year when committing more turnovers than their opponents, and 5-2 when they won the take-away battle.

-Of the 46-players on the Argos’ opening day roster in 2016, just 20 players remain with the club, while for the Ticats, 28 of 46 return. -

?‍?1st comment after the article asked who was in the Command Centre for this game..?

Toronto's defence looks pretty good on paper.  Lemon, Woods, Ball, Laing, Gabriel.  Lots of question marks on offence though.  Injury concerns for Ray, Coombs, Fuller... is SJ Green still the same guy... does Whitaker still have what it takes at 31 years old... right side of the OL looks a little shaky.

I'll will not be surprised if Ray doesn't last one game without injury.

Trestman is good but not like they had chopped liver in Milanovich.  Predict same as last year, start promising and fade when Ray is hurt.

If being in a stuggling market made the Argos hungry, they'd have devoured the entire league by now.  I'm thinking that win or lose for Toronto, Bluto and the other fan will never have to worry about not being able to stretch out across a couple of sections.  The only downside is to have to keep moving the cutouts of fans around for the various crowd shots.

The CFL is such an afterthought in Toronto it's ridiculous. I remember when visiting relatives there we passed by a local Toronto sports shop and it having room for emblems of relevant, local sports teams - the first three? Toronto Blue Jays, Toronto Maples Leafs, Toronto Raptors... the fourth slot?

The Argos emblem? Nope - A second Maple Leafs logo.

Plus we have Rod Freaking Black doing the game & those Nissan commercials to look forward to. Ugh.

Thank your lucky stars you don't have to put up with the "Paddy Power" and "Bet 365" commercials on the streaming sites, the British commercials are far worse.

I don't ever recall a Nissan ad on TSN during CFL games that wasn't annoyingly bad with the music. To make it worse, they play them a dozen times mostly back to back.

Pretty sparse looking crowd. They have their outdoor stadium, the schedule isn't crappy. When do the excuses stop for the CFL in Toronto?

The excuse will now be It's TOO HOT!
