Floyd Posted July 14, 2017 Report Posted July 14, 2017 That was a good game... I'll even give Hurl props for that one. Poop is a beast, so is Harris, so is Medlock. Leggett and Heath both want to be INT league leaders... Nichols and Lapo are a bit off, that should work itself out - just keep getting Harris 15-20 touches and some screens. Atomic 1

But it seems like when ever we run through out the game we forget about the screen and when we screen we get away from the run. coach17 1

Rod Black Posted July 14, 2017 Report Posted July 14, 2017 (edited) Numero uno- has to be Medlock. Numero due- dressler for being clutch numero tres- Heath, he owns the d backfield Happy Honker- Loffler punishing the Argo receivers. and a very honorable mention to the IGF Security staff for escorting out from the north end zone area the biggest jerk in the entire stadium. Oh, did I mention he was wearing a rider jersey #89 Getzlaff? A complete nimrod that typifies the average rider fan. He was looking to start something. A provacateur that I'd swear, was begging for a thrashing. Rider fans have even more to be ashamed of and they weren't even playing. Honestly, it's beyond jokes. Jpan85 Posted July 14, 2017 Report Posted July 14, 2017 They ran a couple screens but the did not connect or Argos read them pretty good.

Noeller Posted July 14, 2017 Report Posted July 14, 2017 Great quote from Harris in Tait's post-game review piece....said on one of the runs "it was the hardest 2 yards of my life". He ran HARD last night, and also said those runs "...really deflate the defense, I'll tell you that..." SPuDS, Atomic and Bigblue204 3

ddanger Posted July 14, 2017 Report Posted July 14, 2017 My 3 stars would be: #1. The D line. First play of the game Poop gets a sack and sent a strong message. Whole line was solid. I agree 55 has to get his penalties under control. #2. Harris. His will to succeed is second to none. I shudder to think where we'd be without him. #3. Medlock = money. I'll saw it again....he absolutely hammered that long range field goal, and he's worth every penny we pay him. HH. Defensive secondary, particularly Loffler, and Heath. wbbfan 1
Jpan85 Posted July 14, 2017 Report Posted July 14, 2017 Don't blame Westerman for the offsides he was trying to time up snap. Looked like there might of been a flinch my the Argo across from him. Other than that a very clean game penalty wise 4 for 25 yards. Noeller, Floyd and wbbfan 3

It's like the Riders fans and media who say "that guy plays some good defense/offense!!" Oiiiii.... Westerman being held like a baby on every single play....he's just looking to get every advantage he can. Dude works hard and opens up space for other people. BigBlueFanatic 1

The thing with the draw plays is, when it works it's a great gutsy call and when it doesn't it's an awful call. Damned if you do damned if you don't.
B-F-F-C Posted July 14, 2017 Report Posted July 14, 2017 (edited) 1) The entire defence...not 1 player stood out in a bad way. A solid effort with good pressure on Ray and great run defence. 2) Dressler...I shudder to think what this offence would look like without him. Right now he's our only receiver that has stood out this year. Denny and Adam's have looked good at times but nothing like Dressler. 3) Medlock...nothing else to say. While the defence is coming together. The offence is still struggling and it wont be enough to win against some of the better teams. If the offence can gel then the team would be unstoppable. But if not we're looking at a 9-9 record at best. case in point. Less than 2 minutes left and your offence has the ball and needs to kill the clock. Good offences find a way to get it done. We gave them a chance to tie the game but thankfully the defence came up for us once again. Edited July 14, 2017 by B-F-F-C
do or die Posted July 14, 2017 Report Posted July 14, 2017 These first half's....especially 1st quarters on O.....not close to good enough, right now. Production has been, frankly....terrible. We seem reluctant to throw a pass more than 8 yds down the field, to start games - or at least, just aim them vertically, period. wbbfan 1

He may have also gassed a bit seeing he hasn't been doing double duty before.

He really put his head down and fought for some tough yards tonight. he never stopped fighting either. He still looked like he had plenty in the tank towards the end of the game. Very glad we have him in Blue and Gold and that he still has that refuse to quit mentality. Some of his runs last night reminded me of Roberts with his "hit at first contact but still get 4-6 yards" style of bouncing around. Bigblue204 1

Some thing like 2.3 yards per attempt or completion. If that keeps up buck could be the OC by LD. B-F-F-C 1
