GAME DAY NOTES

    •    This season, the average of challenges per game is 2.00. Last year’s average was 2.22.

    •    BC has challenged the most this season with six; however, Hamilton has not challenged a single play so far this season.

    •    Ottawa owns the best success rate at .750 while Montreal has the worst at .333.

    •    Of the 32 challenges this season, 18 have been overturned (56%).

    •    Of the 24 penalty-related challenges this year 10 have been for defensive pass interference and nine for illegal contact.

Jackson’s 339 return yards in a single game ranks him fourth all-time only trailing: Larry Taylor (428), Bashir Levingston (345) and Marcus Thigpen (340).

This season there have been 17 ‘Big Play’ kick returns (30-yard punt/FGM return and 40+ yard kick returns). Ottawa, Saskatchewan, Toronto and Winnipeg share the lead with three each. BC and Hamilton have not registered a ‘Big Play’ in the kick return game.

Tonight

Montreal’s Nik Lewis continues to inch closer to notching his 1,000th Following his three receptions versus Calgary, he now only needs five more catches to become the fourth player in CFL history with 1,000.

Ricky Ray is the lone quarterback this season to pass for 300+ yards in each game. His passing yards totals are 506, 323, 366 and 330.

11 games this year have been decided by eight points or less.

**Games longer this year?…NOPE  - The average game time has dropped by two minutes (2:49) and averages 155 plays per game.

Week 4 saw the lowest amount of penalties per game at 15.5.

SACKS APPEAL? When a team does not allow a sack, they have scored a touchdown 19% of their drives (1 in 5.3 possessions).

I think the Als will slip back to Earth and Ottawa will squeak out a win.

Didn't Thigpen's big return day came against the Bombers too? Wasn't that the day when only a restraining order could have saved Glenn from Phil Hunt?

Even though the game is in Ottawa this evening, remember when Montreal used to brag about their umpteenth consecutive sellout at Molson Stadium when the place held 20,000? Oh those were certainly heady days. ;)

Two medicore teams. Sure both teams can move the ball, but their defenses, and special teams leave a lot to be desired. Really like Harris think he's a good QB. Powell runs really tough and shifty. Also think we really could use a guy like Nik Lewis on our roster as a 4/5 option he's still really sure handed, knows how to find that sweet spot in the zone.

Not a lot of guys like Nik Lewis out there. Big dude but sure handed as hell. He's had a hall of fame career

well that was a kick in the pants for me,  stupid Stangby runs like 50 yards sideline to sideline and gets caught a few yards short costing me my lock pick, and montreal blows the 3rd and 1 costing me my pick em pick.   Maybe it's time to also start up a therapeutic gin regiment to deal with the FFS's

Ottawa has a good QB and good Canadians, which IMO are the two key building blocks in the CFL. They'll be contending again.

The guy that won 2 Grey Cups for you is now a bum? Real classy.

He won one for us and was awesome during that playoff run. He also chocked in two others. Doesn't mean I have to love him forever does it? Since you brought up classy, what about Durant chirping the rider bench after a missed field goal win? A game that he didn't exactly look stellar

You obviously drink the same kool aid as Chris Jones. You'd have a paltry 3 Grey Cup wins if not for Durant (not that 4 is much better) & you turn on him because he said a few things after the game? He had every right to chirp after the things Chris Jones said about him.

You Bomber fans don't mind ex players saying things about your team?  I mean how many times can a guy go to the zoo?

Brock has been honoured by the team. No guarantee that'll ever happen with Durant & the Riders. Besides, the game in 84 when he came back to Winnipeg with the Ti Cats with the "Brock Buster" song was fun. Even Brock enjoyed that game.

Brock was unforgiven for a long time. We are supposed to forgive in a month? DD will be a plaza member here when the time comes. But for now  I hope the football gods keep things in check
