We need to petition the CFL Commish to host LDC

I think we should add some stakes to the LDC. Which ever team wins it, gets to host the following year, and the loser gets the Banjo bowl.

IIRC...the LDC game used to alternate between host cities.   I'm talking way back but I'm pretty sure it was so.

How about you sell out your stadium once and then maybe you get get fun things.  Sorry but the LDC is Regina's forever, the CFL knows what straw stirs the drink.

Let's see, in one scenario I spend my Labour Day weekend at the lake and do some golfing, then get to come home and watch a rivalry game the following weekend.

In the other scenario I have to either miss the only cabin weekend I get most years, or that rivalry game, and I have nothing to do the following weekend.

As far as the Riders having empty seats?  We've had 2 1/2 tough seasons yet we still lead the league in attendance at home and on the road.   The team this year has shown flashes of very good and bad, that's what happens in year 2 of a rebuild.

Girlfriend went to vet school in saskatchewan, every single person in that class couldn't wait to leave to their home provinces. It's truly the most boring place in Canada. Weekends: "what do you want to do?"  "Guess we'll drink cause there's literally nothing else besides rider games."

The problem is everythings too spread out.. no culture besides Ukrainian dancing lol

Yeah...I did hear that the League was considering calling it the SFL and renaming the cup the Silver Silo , but thought better of it because it when confuse them and they would wander around aimlessly in Sask thinking that the CFL was gone

When the NDP was the govt in Saskatchewan no question people couldn't wait to get outta here.  That's changed, now we are surrounded by Manitoba folk looking for work.

Hmmm...save the team telethons multiple times, selling bogus Rider Stocks to have team equity to stay afloat seems to say different. YOu don't league the league in average attendance...go re-check that, and a similar thread where I compared the average of just Winnipeg and sask over the course of 3 decades and Sask only beat Winnipeg recently, mainly due to the circus that went on here. 

And you can't say on the road either...but like other poster has said...people get the heck out of town as fast as they can from sask so yeah...they will have some fans in other cities...and kudos to them for that...

I.m thinking your logic is flawed and wrong..History shows that Sask doesn't always outdraw everyone....historically don't even outdraw Winnipeg....until just this last decade and part of that average is flawed due to the one year hosting a grey cup and they had huge numbers just to secure grey cup seats.    

In the 80's decade we averaged 26534 to Sask 24 729...stats show we drew more
In the 90's decade we averaged 24 391 to Sask 24 030...stats show we drew more
In the 2000's decade we averaged 26 480 to Sask 26 457..stats show we drew more
In the 2010 and up to 2014 we averaged 28 218 to Sask 31 921 (not a true average for reason stated above)

You just proved my point that in the modern CFL the Riders lead the league in attendance at home and on the road.  Punting the NDP was the best thing this province ever did, turned everything around, especially the economy.
