Blue and Gold CFL  -  Andrew Harris leads the CFL in YAC. He's a running back #Bombers. And it's not even close. Harris is 1st with 355 yards, 2nd is the RedBlacks Brad Sinopoli at 278 yards

•    The Stampeders have won 13 consecutive games at home – the eighth-longest home winning streak of all time in the CFL.

Toronto leads the league with 30 sacks this season, despite missing several starters due to injury. The Argonauts have eight more sacks then the second best team (Edmonton).

•    Winnipeg and Montreal do not yet have a successful 2-point conversion. Both teams are 0 for 2.

•    Teams coming off a bye week are 4-3 this season. Saskatchewan comes off a bye this week when they play Edmonton.

 •    League-wide one-point convert percentage is 88%, down from 91% from last year. Kickers were only 12 for 16 (75%) last week.

 •    Argonauts running back Brandon Whitaker is four carries shy of reaching 1,000 for his career.

 •    Consistency: 11 different quarterbacks have started this season. At the same point in 2016 it was 15 and 2015 it was 14.

LaPolice has done a great job with the offence, Hall still struggling to find right formula on defence. O’Shea really coming into his own as head coach. 

“He’s not done … he’s not satisfied, either,” O’Shea said of Randle. “We’ve always known that he’s a top-notch guy in this league, an upper-echelon guy and the way he prepares I wouldn’t say it’s easy — he makes it look easy — but he prepares for it. When he steps on the field he’s already played the game, he’s already worked so hard in practice that he knows he’s going to make those plays. And two interceptions tonight — and some of those plays that you don’t notice, when he’s not intercepting the ball — he’s phenomenal.”

Buono acknowledged the position switch represents potentially a major swing with the Lions’ salary cap in the future but had to make the move to salvage a season suddenly looking as if it could spin out of control.

He previously restructured Jennings' current contract to give him an NFL option-year window after this season and would make CFL starting pivot money, a reported $300,000 if he comes back in 2018 to the Lions.

Lulay, on the other hand, has a salary edge on Jennings at present but is a free agent at the end of the season. It’s a radical shift from a few weeks ago, when Jennings’ shoulder injury and previous collarbone issue wasn’t seen as a problem.

I'm surprised more teams dont go for two. The ball is at the two yard line.. That opens the playbook and should be almost a gimmie. Heck even if you're 50 percent its worth it.. I understand with a guy like Medlock whos automatic on the convert that we stick with the conventional one point but a team thats struggling with the point after kick might as well go for two every time.

Yes, that was from the CFL site and BEFORE the  2 point conversions. They will  revise the. stats befor Week 11.

And I'm pretty sure OT stats would be added if they were detected early enough.

On Thursday, against an Alouettes team that is particularly stingy at home, Trevor Harris and co. will be put to the test again in a fight for second in the East. The Als won’t make it easy. Remember the last time they played back in Week 5? The Als lost on a late third-down gamble by five points — despite losing the turnover battle 5-0. The precursor to the Banjo Bowl may take top billing this Labour Day Weekend. Some of the names have changed over the past year but the rivalry between the Bombers and Riders is taking centre stage in the highly-competitive West Division. And on Sunday, heading into a home-and-home, both teams have a lot to prove.

The Bombers have won five straight games and are within an inch of first in the entire league. The Riders have outscored their opponents 95-39 over the last two games while eclipsing 40 points in both contests. Oh, and the first time these teams met in Week 2, the first game at the new Mosaic Stadium, they combined for 83 points in a 43-40 Bombers overtime win.

The Alberta rivals have been evenly-matched over the past few years. Except on Labour Day. The Stamps have won five consecutive fall classics over the Eskimos by a combined score of 157-108 — an average margin of nine points — while the last three decisions have come by two scores or more.

Mike Reilly, who has never won on Labour Day, looks to reverse a couple of trends on Monday against a Stampeders team that is lights out at home. Whoever wins in Week 11 could shift the balance of power in the West and really turn up the pressure heading into the second half of a key home-and-home.

A lot has happened in Hamilton since the Ticats’ 37-18 loss to the REDBLACKS in Week 9, including a coaching change, some coaching controversy and a swap at quarterback. Monday’s Labour Day Classic presents a chance for the Tabbies to put all of that behind them and finally play some football.

The Ticats would like nothing more than to pick up win No. 1 of the season while, at the same time, knocking Ricky Ray and the Argos out of first in the East. Expect an emotional Monday in the Hammer.
