do or die Posted September 9, 2017 Report Posted September 9, 2017 Not being a coach, I simply cannot bring myself to criticize, keeping a receiver in the lineup, who has done nothing, the last 4 games..... But, pretty sure some others can...,. rebusrankin 1
AKAChip Posted September 9, 2017 Report Posted September 9, 2017 God forbid Lankford scores another touchdown or we'll all be complaining about him still in 2020.

Keep whining about him being in the lineup, though. Edited September 10, 2017 by blue_gold_84 Logan007 1

Two kickoff returns for 50???? Put him in the hall of fame. If you are satisfied with less than mediocre production from someone on the roster, good for you. Obviously you're easily impressed. Mr Dee Posted September 10, 2017 Report Posted September 10, 2017 One of the biggest complaints about players is their lack of contribution. I believe that's what's been pointed out in Lankford's case. If he's going to be in the lineup, he has to contribute. He did. Goalie, blue_gold_84 and SPuDS 2 1

By no means a perfect player but with his speed he keeps the defense honest and opens up the short/middle part of the field because you have to respect his speed. M.O.A.B. Posted September 10, 2017 Report Posted September 10, 2017 (edited) I think Kyries Hebert suits this D. Can play both WIL and MAC. And brings the attitude. Edited September 10, 2017 by M.O.A.B.

Nowhere does that imply he's HOF worthy or that anyone is easily impressed. No wonder nobody here takes your commentary seriously. Obviously, you're just a presumptuous assclown. Alright let's try again. If you don't believe that Lankford's contributions could not be adequately replaced and then some by Thorpe or even someone completely different altogether, then we will never come to an agreement. If all it takes for you to be satisfied by Lankford is one catch every two games and a couple of 25 yard kick returns then all the power to you. In my mind it's a waste to have a guy on the roster more or less solely for kick returns when he only gets to touch the ball 4 times a game in a good day. Even someone like you, who clearly loves him some Lankford can't deny that he is a lacklustre receiver and even if he is better than I give him credit for, they don't throw him the damn ball! At least Thorpe was getting targets and making things happen 5, 6, 7 times per game. So forgive me for being flippant when your highlights of his stellar game consist of 4 touches. A 25 yard kickoff return average is average. Plain and simple.

I suppose this means you speak for everyone. It's very difficult to have a discussion with someone who makes it very clear that they know next to nothing about football.
do or die Posted September 11, 2017 Report Posted September 11, 2017 Lets try this another way.......Thorpe is a better fit (and an additional safety valve) for this O. Tracker, Brandon Blue&Gold and Noeller 1 2

Agreed. This edition of the Bombers is not a big-play offense like BC, Edmonton or even the Riders. We do have Adams and Dressler who are very quick but the 10-15 yard passes are Nichols' bread and butter. And that is what Thorpe brings.

That is, we already have that aspect of the game covered. Lankford brings the speed, if only to open up the very same short stuff you're talking about. Somebody has to stretch the field besides Adams. I honestly can't say which receiver suits our offence better, but I don't see the point in questioning who the Coaches do. Maybe, all it takes, is a little more time for Thorpe.. SPuDS and Rod Black 2

Next thing to admit: being a presumptuous douchecanoe. I merely pointed out what Lankford actually did yesterday. I laid out the facts plain and simple and said he contributed to the team's success in the Banjo Bowl. Your reaction: jumping to childish conclusions, spouting garbage comments like "hall of fame" and insinuating I'm easily impressed and then saying I love him. You then follow it up by saying I don't know anything about football. That is comical. Pathetic on your part, but utterly comical. Edited September 11, 2017 by blue_gold_84 Rod Black 1

A 25 yard kickoff return average is average. Plain and simple. He also made an excellent ST tackle on the kick return that ended the first half, Morris would have turned the corner if it wasn't for Lankford's BLAZING speed cutting him down. Add that to the TD saving tackle he made on Logan earlier this year that makes 3 TD's scored and at least one he's prevented. The guy is a human grey-hound, LaPo just needs to figure out how to utilize his speed more effectively and more often and rewards will be reaped. Much like McDuffie last year, Lankford is a great specialty tool to have in the toolbox. Edited September 11, 2017 by Throw Long Bannatyne Mr Dee, blitzmore, Rod Black and 3 others 6
