Personally I'd bring another NI receiver onto the roster. Between Coates, Wolitarsky or Blaszko, Normand they can hold down a spot. Gets messy if Harris goes down. rebusrankin 1
rebusrankin Posted September 19, 2017 Report Posted September 19, 2017 This sucks for us. I agree with Goalie on the how you solve the ratio: Chungh/Gossen/Harris/Loffler/JFG/Hurl/Thomas with Faith and Corney rotating. I agree with Booch, use Drew W as a returner/receiver as a way to add Nevis to the lineup. Agree with Mike, sign Mulumba.

I'm just thinking of having Johnson and Nevis on the roster... with Thomas and Ekakitie rotating - I think more pressure from the middle makes Corney's job less daunting I mean signing Mulumba for the rest of this season is the best answer obviously... Mike Posted September 19, 2017 Report Posted September 19, 2017 I have to admit ... I'm a bit worried about this in the sense that this doesnt lend itself well to a scenario Osh can be realistic about. im expecting we'll see an internal fix, roster management we'll all disagree with and an "everyone is a starter" mantra from the coach Piggy 1 1
Booch Posted September 19, 2017 Report Posted September 19, 2017 yeah expecting a fix that will be very questionable, and for the most part make us weaker when there are other options available, but they won't make them

I expect a stupid solution.
Booch Posted September 19, 2017 Report Posted September 19, 2017 We really don't need a major fix anyway, a lot of times we had 3 National D-Lineman on the field at same time anyway. Just run your rotations with one of Thomas/Corney/ekakite in on any play and we will be fine. Hopefully they can tweek the ratio...and least intrusive way is swap out Lankford, and see what Drew has and bring in Green Or Nevis in his spot. Mark F 1

Blueandgold Posted September 19, 2017 Report Posted September 19, 2017 Signing Mulumba, who I'm not sure has any other options at this point or trading for a guy like Capicotti is a must at this point. Bigblue204 and rebusrankin 1 1

When it comes to being critical about stuff, Friesen beats most everyone. Also, re: Westerman - balls Edited September 19, 2017 by mbrg SPuDS and rebusrankin 2
MC Posted September 19, 2017 Report Posted September 19, 2017 It would be great to bring up Mulumba, but that will not fix the immediate issue. You can't bring an NFL DL, and that is what he is at this point, and start him. If they brought him in now and he was a quick study, he might be able to play in time for the BC games though.
Bomber_fanaddict Posted September 19, 2017 Report Posted September 19, 2017 Well.....O'Shea did say he never officially retired from the CFL..... Suit him up
rebusrankin Posted September 19, 2017 Report Posted September 19, 2017 I like the idea of Drew W. for Westerman and Nevis for Lankford. I'll bet ya its something that pisses off most of the board though. Dr. Blue 1
wbbfan Posted September 19, 2017 Report Posted September 19, 2017 Wonder if jake thomas could play off the edge... Feel like this is a huge chance for corney. Really sucks. Hope this doesnt lead to poop being relegated to bench and inactive list.

And its fantastic to do. I just hope it means more corney and more thomas. And not the end of poop.
TrueBlue Posted September 19, 2017 Report Posted September 19, 2017 I wouldn't be expecting a "one replaces the other" type of situation. We're just not going to find the next guy that can play the type of role Westerman did in such a short period of time. The Mulumba talk is just wishful thinking for many reasons. Lots to think about... blue_gold_84 1
Mr Dee Posted September 19, 2017 Report Posted September 19, 2017 ...... I have to ask... Why the cloak and dagger stuff? What is the injury? I know they wanted to know the extent of the injury, but now that they know... Is this wrapped in another scenario? Or are we just anxious to hear another storyline to make up for this one? And did he hurt himself strumming that damn banjo?
