How good would TJ Thorpe look on this team right now? Man, if people could just park the egos it sure would be sweet to see him playing here. Guy was a stud. Still can't believe we couldn't find a way to keep him.

And yet he's still unsigned by any other team.

Adams is elite but what pisses me off about him and other elite receivers is they tend to make the spectacular catch but at times drop the easy ones. Its a pet peeve of mine.. They all do it.

No body catches everything (except for maybe Julio Jones... but I'm fairly sure he's some kind of robot and not an actual human)... even Mr Sticky Hands Odell Beckham has been dropping some easy ones this year...

Of course, it might just be that it takes time to go through the frenzied bidding war that must be going on for the services of a guy with 300 yards receiving and no td's.  Don't see guys with stats like that come onto the open market too often.

You could say that about any player or coach that has had success.  There was always an idiot or group of idiots that wanted them cut or fired.  Hell we are 10-3 and people are talking about whether Richie Hall's job should be in jeopardy.  You can't please everyone all the time.

We can't just rely on the other team playing terrible offence against us each week. Our defence is just lucky, don't you know?

As is the case with many, many, of the recruits that the CFL gets to pick from the problem with Thorpe was his attitude. There are literally hundreds of TJ Thorpes that have come through our league. Great talent but short on brains.

FYP

Had he not requested his release so rashly, he'd still be here and there's a chance he could have been in the lineup this past weekend in Edmonton.

Instead, Givens will end up with the opportunity. And just as well, IMO.

I think this is what Dee was trying to convey with the initial post.

That's Dee's fault.

Puns are one thing, constantly adding layers of complexity to the delivery is just unnecessary.

We need low hanging fruit.  Not onions that need layers peeled back.  Onions are disgusting.

LOW FRUIT!!!

Edit:

Look at this:

Makes sense that the boatmen would land a Bass.

That is one laaaaaazy pun.  No effort required on the reader's part.  Or the writer's.  That is embarrassingly bad, the way a pun should be.

Always get the reader to engage his/her mind...the resources should be there.

Another layer...

Puns and mental engagement do not go together!
