Reminds me of onterrio smith. 

Ricky williams was 10x the rb richardson is. Maybe more. And 10x better fit in the cfl. I would take most of the back up rbs in the league over him, and a few NI fbs. Not a fan of the guy at all.

2 knee surgeries before his rookie year started. Poor vision (see his legendary meme), hes a hybrid back. Doesnt have even average speed now. Good power for his size, but not any where  near messam power. Doesnt have the agility or change of direction quickness. In college he was a systems back, with an excellent run blocking OL. Only the every down/feature back one year. Hes like soo many denver broncos backs during their zone blocking era.  A TON of guys nation wide could have had the same success he had on the same team. 

With how often the riders run the ball it makes even less sense. Whats the upside for them? He isnt even the vince young of rbs. Maybe the biggest first round RB bust of all time. I like cam marshall. As much as i can any rider player. I hope he gets healthy and back into action and gets him self another NFL sniff. 

 

I dont get why manziel gets hammered in the press soo hard. Whats the difference off field wise between him and gronk? If they kicked out every guy in the league who had similar problems to him in their past we MIGHT have enough players to field 2 teams.

Not defending either guy but.... Gronk does not have any domestic violence on his rap sheet... and in the NFL, the biggest factor is skill... Gronk may be the best (or at least most physically gifted) TE to ever play the game...

Plays for the Pats, has won championships .. is a dominating presence at his position.  Johnny Football on the other hand hasn't done anything of note (in the league) which would distract from his baggage.

I don't have the link to the story but...

 

-allegedly, Bear Woods was released in Montreal for reporting the Als for a safety violation.   Woods, who was the Mtl CFLPA rep, brought the issue to the CFLPA about montreal having padded practices when they were not supposed to be.   Shortly after, Kavis Reed is said to have released Woods without any discussion with his coaches or management.  He was also apparently walked out, didn't get a chance to say his goodbyes to his team mates.. 

 

 

Now, this isn't confirmed but story was posted on 3rddownnation, I believe it was a Dunk story.   Said that the story did run in one of the Montreal francophone newspapers..

Either Franklin or Reilly are going to be in T.O unless Ray comes back...can't see it, but if he stays injury free the rest of the year he could come back next year even stronger, and he at this point now is the classic game manager style QB with the potential to rip a defense a new one.

I bet BC jumps in the Franklin fray as well and if he moves it will be them scooping him from the Rider's and I have a feeling the Rider's are going to be going to camp with what they have now, and that just makes chuckle inside

And it sounds like he thinks he gonna walk in a dominate the CFL...

I would love to see him run into a wall by the name of Alex Singleton, Bear Woods or Solomon Elimimian and see how many people he thinks he's gonna run over after that... 

He does realize he has an additional defender to worry about, too... right...? For a guy who mostly blew goats in the NFL, he's in for a rude awakening if he thinks it'll be a cakewalk up here.

Any decent quarterback would have to be either insane or heavily medicated to want to sign on in Montreal for next season unless there are major changes in the overall talent level, coaching and general manager's positions. Money is nice, but having your career derailed by being beaten up due to a horrid O-line, poor receivers  and/or  incompetent coaches are a good way to end your career. Ask Buck Pierce, Darian Durant, etc etc.
