2017 Team Awards

These are supposed to be coming out later this morning.   Here are Bauming's picks (he is one of the voters).

I think I would have to give MOP to Nichols over Harris.  Harris hasn't been as effective since Flanders is out of the lineup and based on last game, this team is going no where without Nichols.

Agree with most of them, might go Walker instead of Alexander for rookie, but is he eligible?

Bond not getting enough love for MO OL.....I know everyone defaults to LT, but Bond is just ridiculous. OL most likely to bolt to NFL...

I'd go Bryant then Bond for MOL, and Kevin Fogg then Mike Miller for MOSTP.

Rookie is tough because no one has stood out that much but at from a pure talent standpoint I'd give it to Jovan Santos-Knox... I believe he has the most potential to be an impact player in the CFL.

I don't think Santos L. Halper has played enough snaps on D to really warrant the rookie of the year nod. Which is why I give it to Walker if he is able. Guy has had some ups and downs but I think he's had more ups than downs and has been the teams most consistent rookie.

That's not possible... it has to be east vs west... unless you're just talking about the west nominee....

Also agree about ST... Medlock has not been very good this year... that was a "name-recognition" vote... Mike Miller would get my vote for sure....

I think Singleton takes both Defensive and Canadian.

It's not really that surprising.  Reilly beats Nichols in most statistical lists passing and rushing yards, more throwing TDs and rushing TDs,  and more come from behind victories this season.

It would have been closer if Nichols had not been out.

Nichols and Reilly have similar # except for 1 glaring difference,  yards, reilly has about 1050 more yards then Nichols with only 15 more completions 

Nichols: GP: 17  411/579 for 4472 yards 28 TDs to 8 Ints

Reilly: GP: 17 426/627 for 5536 yards  30 TDs to 13 Ints

Would be interesting to see what kind of yards Nichols would have had with the same weapons as Reilly who can literally just chuck a ball down field and rely on guys like Zylstra, Walker or bowman to win the 50/50 at any given time.  I don't see the same insurance/assurance in Adams, Dressler, Denmark or Lankford

lol no i didn't it's right above that last paragraph,  nichols 28 tds to 8 ints, reilly 30 tds to 13 ints.  Nichols for sure has the better stats in that respect but it's hard to ignore the 1064 yards Reilly has on Nichols in just 15 more completions, that's an average of 70.9 yards per completion per pass in difference

Harris is likely to finish with somewhere around 1900 yards from scrimmage if he plays this week. That's an outstanding season by any measurement. Singleton has also been very good, but voters generally default to the offensive side of the ball when given the choice. I think Harris beats Singleton, and I think Solly beats Singleton.

Nichols should  get league MOP, but Reilly most likely will.

but Nichols is in a Lapo dink and dunk ball control offense, Reilly is in a Huck it! Chuck it! offense. easy to get more yards when your only real passing plays are heaving it deep. If Reilly had to throw 70% of his passes 5 yards or less things would look entirely different.

Reilly and the Eskimos warrent the MOP.

They were crushing everyone before finally succumbing to their massive injuries for that skid in the middle of the season, but are now back to dominating. 

Reilly has had a phenomenal season.
