Westerman would be a shame to lose, hope we can keep him here.. Ditto Heath and I think he likes being a bomber.. Would like to keep Westermen and Health also but it's all about money, as for Medlock if he made 185k last year and is looking for that again I don't think we would to do it. shadybob and SPuDS 2
Mike Posted November 15, 2017 Report Posted November 15, 2017 FMB will be our kicker next year I'd bet Blueandgold, shadybob, SPuDS and 3 others 5 1

Medlock cannot be signed for the same coin. he was brutal this year.. I don't even know if i'd give him 125k even though he does double duty. Maybe 125k plus incentives. if the kid we drafted has come along then its really hard to want to burn that much money at a specialist role.

Booch Posted November 15, 2017 Report Posted November 15, 2017 that's what I am hoping..we can save $$...he's a better punter and the DI spot can be way better utilized in a more productive manner. I want an offence that doesn't have to rely on filed goals outside the 40 consistantly to score points.. 17to85 1

Atomic Posted November 15, 2017 Report Posted November 15, 2017 Felix Menard-Briere didn't attempt a single field goal this season for the Carabins, he was just their punter.

FG kicking was the area of his game he needed work on, thought him going back to school would let him work it out. thats disappointing to hear. 14 minutes ago, Booch said: I believe he won special teams player of year again out that way...almost certain I heard that this could be what you're referring to: https://carabins.umontreal.ca/football/felix-menard-briere-sacre-meilleur-joueur-des-unites-speciales/
JuranBoldenRules Posted November 15, 2017 Report Posted November 15, 2017 If we could get Medlock for 100k just to placekick and have FMB punt that would be a good deal IMO. shadybob and blue_gold_84 2

If they were worried about losing him, the Bombers could have stashed him on the 1 game IR like the did those other guys. The fact they didn't have to, might indicate that there's already a plan for next year. rebusrankin and blue_gold_84 1 1
rebusrankin Posted November 15, 2017 Report Posted November 15, 2017 I think you have to resign Westerman to give you that legit starting NI option. How we use the ratio will be interesting next year.
sweep the leg Posted November 15, 2017 Author Report Posted November 15, 2017 I wonder if we'll take a look at Quinn Van Gylswyk if he makes it to FA?
Mark F Posted November 15, 2017 Report Posted November 15, 2017 (edited) Laurent Duvernay-Tardif (born February 11, 1991) is a Canadian-born American football guard for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Chiefs in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He played college football at McGill University. Fairly sure he has started some games for the Chiefs. Mark H. Posted November 16, 2017 Report Posted November 16, 2017 Given that they'll probably be downgrading at left guard due to the ratio, I would try to retain Medlock. I can't see any reason why we should expect the O to score more touchdowns next year. SPuDS 1
Bigblue204 Posted November 16, 2017 Report Posted November 16, 2017 If im bond. Im looking to get paid. NFL or CFL. SPuDS 1

BigBlueFanatic Posted November 16, 2017 Report Posted November 16, 2017 Would love to see Bauman in TC2018... his highlight reel posted on this forum was pretty intriguing. Demski as a FA acquisition would be huge, as would Wolitarsky's development into a starter/backup role - the kid seems to have all the tools. Tracker and SPuDS 2
Arnold_Palmer Posted November 16, 2017 Report Posted November 16, 2017 (edited) If we could pick up Demski in the off season and a guy like Ernest Jackson I would be a happy camper. Manny is wishful thinking.. but a core of Jackson, Adams, Dressler, Demski, Coates/Wolitarsky would be a big upgrade already. Edited November 16, 2017 by Arnold_Palmer BigBlueFanatic 1

If the team upgrades its receiving corps (which it damn well should), there's no reason why the offense can't score more majors next season. SPuDS and Tracker 2
Booch Posted November 16, 2017 Report Posted November 16, 2017 3 years into a system and Nichols healthy all year (tho you cant count on that) alone will make for more TD's Now you add some receiver talent and I am sure that is the top thing on the off-season list with a linebacker and easily we score more. I don't think Nichols has reached his top potential yet, and he seems to be a student of the game as well and very focused on continual improvement so a better season I think is pretty much a guarantee out of him...or if anything a similar one SPuDS 1
