Basic coaching to avoid risks late in a game. Try a longer FG, with downs left to play, and give TO the ball with a minute ish left to play? no.
bustamente Posted November 27, 2017 Report Posted November 27, 2017 Hey the Argos did what the Leafs and Raptors wont do this year and hardly anyone will care.

Have to win 2 games to get to the GC. It's just a whole other ballgame. Calgary probably doesn't choke that bad in a WF either

BBlink Posted November 27, 2017 Report Posted November 27, 2017 Just saying, they had the easiest road to the Grey Cup, and then got extremely fortunate to win Noeller 1

Same can be said about Saskatchewan, although they did fall a bit short. And Bombers show what happens when you don't have people who know what they are doing and do not have the financial will to be great from the organization. Now, to be fair, Bombers are not terrible anymore, but they are still not top tier. Would love it if Bombers, like Toronto, became serious about winning a GC as the main priority, but not sure if they will ever be able to do that in the new reality of the CFL. The biggest difference from my point of view is that the Argos were wise enough to hire experienced coach and GM and who had been successful in the past. I would put Nichols against Ricky Ray any day of the week, but this year and last we paid for the learning curve of our coach and GM, and they may still not be up to the grade of Toronto's staff. do or die Posted November 27, 2017 Report Posted November 27, 2017 .....jump balls to 5'9 receivers who are doubled covered.....rarely end up that well The Classic and trueBlue83 2

Arnold_Palmer Posted November 27, 2017 Report Posted November 27, 2017 Bo Levi ZERO as in zero clutch. Instead of playing it safe for the field goal, or playing it underneath (remember there was over 20 seconds left.. plenty of time) he wanted to be the hero and threw it into double coverage. Mark F 1
Mark F Posted November 27, 2017 Report Posted November 27, 2017 (edited) argos won in a Bomber like way... bend don't break/big plays on D. Edited November 27, 2017 by Mark F

Rod Black Posted November 27, 2017 Report Posted November 27, 2017 Ricky Ray on the Post Game Show between Burris and Duthie...”i’m Still trying to figure out what happened out there...”. Love it! About sums it up for a lot of folks, i’d Guess. Mark F 1

Atomic Posted November 27, 2017 Report Posted November 27, 2017 I think that's selling them short. We were in the East for years and never capitalized. It's tough to win the Grey Cup no matter the circumstances. bearpants and Goalie 1 1

If you believe Edmonton = Saskatchewan then yeah I guess their roads were the same lol. I'm not really talking about Calgary though. Clearly they are some of the best chokers of all time. I'm comparing the Argos road with the likes of Winnipeg or Edmonton. And how if the tables were turned (Toronto going through the west) it would have been a different story
Mark F Posted November 27, 2017 Report Posted November 27, 2017 (edited) last season, gave ball to buckley on goal line instead ofmessam. Maybe their coach screws up in the clutch. Edited November 27, 2017 by Mark F
