Booch Posted February 14, 2018 Report Posted February 14, 2018 and yeah...that would be a greasy Jones move and really make players think twice about signing there in the future..win win for other teams hahahaa
blue_gold_84 Posted February 14, 2018 Report Posted February 14, 2018 Jones' ability to manage salaries is honestly laughable. He makes Taman come across as a genius. Tracker 1

rebusrankin Posted February 14, 2018 Report Posted February 14, 2018 Evans-$170,000 + Hughes - $150,000 + Jefferson-$190,000 = $510,000. Then add in $430,000 for Collaros so that's $940,000. Carter at $190,000 makes it $1,130,000. Then we need to figure out Henoc Muamba and Naman Roosevelt's deals and those of Labbatte and Dyakowski.
MOBomberFan Posted February 14, 2018 Report Posted February 14, 2018 How are Riders expected to keep track of all these numbers... when they can't even count to thirteen? JCon, Al Bundy, Nickthesizz and 2 others 5
Brandon Posted February 14, 2018 Report Posted February 14, 2018 I'm not familiar enough with the Riders roster, but what salaries could they save on by cutting at this point?

blue_gold_84 Posted February 14, 2018 Report Posted February 14, 2018 $510K spent on three D-linemen. Nearly 10% of the 2018 SMS cap spent on three D-linemen. That is truly, remarkably stupid. Tracker 1

Then we need to figure out Henoc Muamba and Naman Roosevelt's deals and those of Labbatte and Dyakowski. yeah...bad cap management....but based on my earlier post rough numbers: Hughes/Jefferson/Evans (510K) Collaros (430k) Bridge (gotta be 150K min) Carter (190K) Rossevalt (140k min..prob higher) Bond (min 130k prob higher..way higher) Henoc (190k I believe min) Labatte (200k) Owens (100k..i thought i heard 110k but we will use 100k) Messam (at least 120k) for 2.16 million of your cap for 12 guys now compare similar players roster wise on Winnipeg Nichols (450k) Durant (180k) Poop (60kish) Nevis (140k) Jeffcoat(60kish), Opo (160K) Bryant (190k) Bownam (140k) Demski 145k) Fenner (130k) JSK (60kish) Flanders(80kish) for 1.7 million of your cap 370k less for same amount of players and talent....thats 5 salaries at an average of 75k a year still to use to match their amount...plus we have depth already signed and many to 2 yr contracts...They still need to address o-line...db's...and depth to back-up multiple positions blue_gold_84 1

I'm hoping the stoppage of FA inquiries this morning was related to waiting on westerman's decision and now that he opted elsewhere that nearly $200K offer is back in play and we can snag a MLB Tracker and M.O.A.B. 1 1

Booch Posted February 14, 2018 Report Posted February 14, 2018 I think it more of a cost versus value thing...he was going into his 7th year this year..most likely 3rd contract so was probably going to make over 70..80k...so effectively I think we just swapped his salary to Drew W entry level one and used the surplus elsewhere..smart sms management Fred C Dobbs, Stickem and JCon 3
