Also reportedly there are 20 entities that have filed interested including buying the assets and re launching in 2021 (insert PT Barnum quote here)

Especially the undefeated Houston Roughnecks who were led by former CFL head coach June Jones. “If you stack up Houston against any other team, in any other league, I think only an NFL team would beat them. That includes the CFL,” Galko told ESPN reporter Kevin Seifert. Them's fightin' words. Tracker 1

As long as they have 11 players and we get 12, sounds fair to me. Bigblue204 1

Mr Dee Posted August 3, 2020 Report Posted August 3, 2020 “I’m tell y’all right now.. I’m not leaving the CFL to go play in the XFL.. although the Rock seems more trustworthy , CFL has been around for 100 years and XFL has failed twice. I love the CFL & it’s some real competition up North!” - Vernon Adams Jr. Blueandgold, Noeller and Eternal optimist 3

Johnson is just the "face of the franchise"... his financial commitment is probably limited... if the headline says "redbird capital buys the XFL" no one cares...
Brandon Posted August 4, 2020 Report Posted August 4, 2020 The Rock has no time to manage the XFL... I can't believe he's able to keep up with his movie/tv show schedule as it is.

Jpan85 Posted August 4, 2020 Report Posted August 4, 2020 Yeah she, Dany Garcia is co owner of Johnson's Seven Bucks Production company.
SpeedFlex27 Posted August 7, 2020 Report Posted August 7, 2020 Considering the money pit this league will be to relaunch for the third time, $15 million isn't a lot of cash invested. The AAF lost $200 million & the XFL was on its way to the same thing when Covid 19 struck & saved the league from more embarrasment. Crowds were shrinking & viewership was down considerably from the start of the season to when it ended. McMahon could see the writing on the wall & wanted no part of it anymore.
