Good to hear.  I arrive in LV for the first time in 48 hrs.  Think it'll tough to find somewhere to watch the Superbowl?  ;)

Word of advice... bring good walking shoes.    First time I made the mistake of thinking that walking down the strip wouldn't be that long...  each casino is massive and my feet were definitely sore.

We made the mistake of going to Circus Circus as our hotel (cheaping out) and walking every day down the strip.

I've got a picture of a blistered foot somewhere from my first visit there.

But I didn't realize there is a monorail just at the back of the hotels that goes the full length of the strip. Found it my last day there. I was camping at a local trailer park, so had my truck. I could only park next to the MGM and walked that strip a few times a day. The Monorail would have been a good idea to use. And it was cheap too.

You will likely love Vegas.  Its just an amazing experience the first time.  Everywhere you look is something cool.  The hotels on the strip are all awesome in their own right.   The new ferris wheel thing is great too (get the open bar car).  I personally love New York New York (I enjoy the vibe there) and downtown.  Difference experience downtown with the older casinos and Freemont St Experience.

Enjoy!

I assume there's only the one by the Flamingo? I found it boring. Was mad at myself for wasting precious gambling time. I won passes in the casino, so at least we didn't pay for it...

If it's a good view of the city you want, go the Stratosphere. You can have a drink in their lounge while checking out the view. It's right on the way to Freemont.

Yes.  I would suppose the novelty would wear off.  I really enjoyed it.  Its a different view of the city than the usual ones.  And maybe I was biased as they do their best to get you really hammered in the 30 minutes it takes to go around.  Fantastic bartender.

Stratosphere is awesome.  But the views are different than the big Wheel and even the Eiffel tower because the Strat is so high.  But I recommend all of them.

well I hope Stacy remembers the new O Canada Lyric tonight (I won't hold it against her if she doesn't)

This morning I walked into the library and I was telling my supervisor that I hope that students didn't get confused during the national anthem (I work in a school library....yes the kids do shout the TRUE NORTH part of the song sometimes) but now I just realized while writing this that, all those recordings will have to be redone

Tax dollars well spent.

I hope Stacy doesn't remember the new lyrics, and sings it the traditional way.
