Milt setsd up a friendly banter and controversy .... his forecasts are good observations but often don't fulfill those observations .... so his sooth saying is at an average outcome... Milt keeps it very interesting ... and he has a healthy self image

Forsooth, indeed.

I don't mind Climie,  while it may be sacrilegious I think he does a better job then Milt.

Climie is more precise with his commentary.......Milt gets excited at times.  I think they work good together.

Climie hates every team except Ottawa. Ask any fanbase & they'll say the same.

TSN needs competition. Maybe because the league is so small and so much of TSN/League's energy is devoted to getting cozy with players in return for access but sometimes broadcasts come accross as a sewing circle...clucking praise with oh so gentle criticism.

Maybe with a competitor there could be a little more sandpaper and call out league BS and jackass players when needed.

TSN should broadcast the games on one of their 5 channels without any play-by-play or analysis, just the field mic.  Hell if they offered that PPV I’d pay.

The average fan wants to be entertained. Only hardcore fans would appreciate it. The others don't know what is going on & would switch off after a few minutes.

Kate Bierness sinks five straight free throws, one backwards.. seems she was a hotshot basketball player

I'm pretty sure that Kate played university ball in Canada... also, those were 3-pointers, not free throws!

The biggest problem TSN has is that they try to be the entertainment rather than letting the game be the entertainment. They pick a player or a story of the night and never deviate from the script. It's awful broadcasting. They would be better off just calling the game as it is and letting the game tell the story.

I don't know much about any sport..... specially basketball.

Yeah it's annoying.  They went into last night's game with the intent to showcase Duron Carter's abilities on defence and they did that... but they tend to tell the story they want to rather than the reality... they weren't highlighting any of Carter's screw-ups but they go nuts when he makes one tackle.  "WELL THERE'S THE PHYSICALITY, HE CAN OFFICIALLY DO IT ALL!!!"

Just wait until we hear Rod Black drone on about the Calvillo and Ray tandem this year . . .

and hardly a tackle at that..the ball carrier drilled him and Carter flopped to the ground stunned and everyone else cleaned up the tackle...basically he just got in the way

When I hear Davis Sanchez I think back to that magical Thanksgiving day comeback vs. BC in 2010.  Major penalty he took was a big part of that win for us.

Game when into OT and Bombers won by 12.  Gotta love the CFL haha!

Of course the sad note here was the end of Casey Printers.  RIP.

You could say that about any national telecast in any sport

and I probably do. It's a very American style of broadcasting and I hate how it's seeped into Canada.

I don’t know whose bright idea this is, but you’re right. Leave the stories for side shows. The value of the game itself more than carries its share of entertainment.

And please, no more in game interviews. They are entertainment killers..

And stop showing replays over actual in-game play.  They totally missed a 3rd down gamble yesterday because they were showing a replay.  They don't seem to have the wherewithal to cut away from something they no longer have space for, but that's live sports and you have to be able to make those adjustments.

"well folks it's preseason for everyone" Rod Black, probably.
