Well, with the Argos sitting in last place in the East and pretty likely without Ricky Ray seeing the field anymore in a boatmen uniform, the biggest acquisition they made this offseason will now be put to the test.  Going up against the team that developed him, James Franklin will be asked to bring Toronto their first win of the season.  Can he do it?

Edmonton is favored for obvious reasons, but Franklin does bring a few different elements to the Toronto offense than Ray.  If Trestman can adapt his offenses to Franklin's strengths, the Boatmen just might get something going here.

Man that 2017 draft was a mess - must have been a nightmare to scout...  Mulumba, Okafor and Adekele in the 3rd round

Hoover and Boateng contributing - Mackie on the roster now

Legit argument for Evan Johnson or Mulumba as first pick overall looking back...

after all of the speculation about J Franklin, this will be an adventure.

esk d not shining to start the game

argos did not find and develop Franklin, so if he is good, they get no credit.

he did look good. looked a bit like Ricky Ray.

Mulumba is pretty brutal.  The Esks are just committed to having a Canadian at WIL, otherwise they have to play Hoover or Boateng every down since Colquhoun is out, and whenever they do that they get killed even worse.

If there was a re-draft I think McGough would be the #1 pick, maybe Johnson.

Well, it appears the questions about Franklin have been officially answered.  The future is now in Toronto.

There is more game to be played yet before this one is over.  But yes a very exciting start for Toronto fans.

A little pet peeve around here about fan attendance.

Okay, got that.  Ya gotta feel a bit for the true CFL fans in Toronto though......... that and it kinda shows that you could have the best fans in the league but that don't guarantee any cups either lol...
