East turtle derby rages on.

Manziel named chief fireman to extinguish 4 alarm diaper fire that is their team.

Cats running out of opportunities  to prove the Jones/Masoli/Run&Shoot thing wasn't the wrong decision to hitch franchise to.

Dunno if a HAM win means much but a loss certainly does.

Note: Zontar will be in attendance tonight.

Manziel might be pretty good. He's had 3 months in the league to watch and learn, albeit not too long to learn Montreal's system. Looking forward to the game.

Manziel would be good behind a good o-line the guy does have a good deep bomb.   The issue will be that he will be under siege because of the crap o-line they have.

This could be a problem for Montreal

Als field cornerback Mitchell White suffered a cervical injury late in the fourth quarter last week against Edmonton, halting the game for several minutes before he was removed from the field on a stretcher. White, added last winter as a free agent from Toronto, won’t play again this season. Fellow DB Najee Murray also suffered a knee injury in that game and will miss a minimum of six games.

I would say it's going to be an exciting game .... But I'm afraid the CFL used up exciting games for the week last night in Toronto.

One thing the Als might have going for them is if Masoli keeps on being a red zone choker.  I have never seen a QB waste all those passing yards as bad as he does.

Considering how close the two previous games this week have been, we ought not assume a lop-sided win for Hamilton, although I wouldn't be shocked if it was.

CFL (62)

4 weeks, 4 QBs- a first since 1999: With Johnny Manziel to start at QB, that means that the Als will start a different QB in 4 consecutive games. The last time that any CFL club had 4 different QB starters in a 4-game span was 19 years ago - Edmonton started N.Greene, D.Crowley, M.Crandell & K.Mason across Oct 11-30/99. Across 60 CFL years this 4 in 4 has occurred just 6 times.

- 1-16 in the last 17 games / 8 in a row at home: The Alouettes have won just once in their last 17 games - the poorest 17-game stretch in their history. They come into this week having lost their last 8 home games - the longest home losing streak in Montreal history and back to 1958 matches the 4th-longest ever home losing streak

Hamilton 1st half vs 2nd half: The Ti-Cats have dominated the 1st half this year and have outscored opponents by 80-52 (+28). In the 2nd half however they have a scoring margin of -33. This is especially in the 4th Quarter where the points count is 23-54 and they have lost five of their six 4th Quarters.

- Jalen Saunders: Has played 22 career CFL games and is up to 1,706 yards and 111 receptions. He has been extraordinarily consistent with at least 50 yards in 16 of his 22 games. His 2018 pace is to exceed the 1600-yard mark and reach 105 catches.

- Masoli INTs: Jeremiah Masoli has thrown one interception in each game thus far and leads the CFL with 6 in total. These 6 picks have led to 21 opponent points in 2018.

- 24:50 TOP: Over their last 5 games, Montreal's average Time of Possession has been just 24:50 versus their opponents' 35:10 - gap of over 10:00 of play. Over that 5-game run, opponents have averaged 17 more plays from scrimmage per game (64 to 47 per game).

- Simoni Lawrence last 4 games: Lawrence has been Hamilton's leading tackler in 3 of their last 4 games with 27 in total.

- Henoc Muamba: Leads the CFL with 7 Tackles for Loss thus far, well ahead of the pace to break his own CFL record of 13 (2013). - Ernest Jackson: Over his last 3 games he has just 3 catches for 17 yards on 13 targets.

- Tyrell Sutton: Last week posted his 2nd-highest receiving total ever with 82 yards on 4 catches (career max? 90 yards Aug 22/14). ___________________________________________________________________________________________________

I think so, Hamilton should be disappointed with their recent results.

Should be deathly afraid of whats happened recently. IMO this team has huge problems.

So the first 300 yard multiple games were basically teams catching up with schemes....?  What's your take?
