Zontar Posted August 3, 2018 Report Posted August 3, 2018 East turtle derby rages on. Manziel named chief fireman to extinguish 4 alarm diaper fire that is their team. Cats running out of opportunities to prove the Jones/Masoli/Run&Shoot thing wasn't the wrong decision to hitch franchise to. Dunno if a HAM win means much but a loss certainly does. Note: Zontar will be in attendance tonight. Dr Zaius 1
Floyd Posted August 3, 2018 Report Posted August 3, 2018 The Manziel hype is off the charts... I fully expect a 160 yard, 1 TD, 2 INT game from him Im so excited in fact, I may not even watch Eternal optimist 1
Doublezero Posted August 3, 2018 Report Posted August 3, 2018 Manziel might be pretty good. He's had 3 months in the league to watch and learn, albeit not too long to learn Montreal's system. Looking forward to the game.

Manziel would be good behind a good o-line the guy does have a good deep bomb. The issue will be that he will be under siege because of the crap o-line they have.
rebusrankin Posted August 3, 2018 Report Posted August 3, 2018 It would be nice to see Manziel do well to help boost ticket sales and to give the Als hope but I sense a Hamilton win.
Mark F Posted August 3, 2018 Report Posted August 3, 2018 This could be a problem for Montreal Quote Als field cornerback Mitchell White suffered a cervical injury late in the fourth quarter last week against Edmonton, halting the game for several minutes before he was removed from the field on a stretcher. White, added last winter as a free agent from Toronto, won’t play again this season. Fellow DB Najee Murray also suffered a knee injury in that game and will miss a minimum of six games. herb zurkowsky

USABomberfan Posted August 3, 2018 Report Posted August 3, 2018 I would say it's going to be an exciting game .... But I'm afraid the CFL used up exciting games for the week last night in Toronto. One thing the Als might have going for them is if Masoli keeps on being a red zone choker. I have never seen a QB waste all those passing yards as bad as he does.

Considering how close the two previous games this week have been, we ought not assume a lop-sided win for Hamilton, although I wouldn't be shocked if it was.
Mr Dee Posted August 3, 2018 Report Posted August 3, 2018 Game Day Notes - CFL.ca Hamilton @ Montreal - Alouettes vs Ti-Cats: Hamilton has won 5 of the last 6 games vs Montréal including a two-game sweep last year. In the last 7 years (2011-2017), Montréal has won the season series over Hamilton just ONCE (2015). Hamilton is 12-8 vs the Als since 2011. - Jeremiah Masoli: As a starter in 2018 Masoli is 2-4 but in his career his winning % is .480 at 12-13. He has thrown for 300+ yards in 10 of his last 11 games and set a 9-game 300+ streak CFL record earlier on. He went over the 8,000 yard mark last week. - Johnny Manziel: Last threw a pass competitively on December 27, 2015 in a 17-13 loss (start) to Kansas City (other than 2018 Spring League). Over that 5-game run, opponents have averaged 17 more plays from scrimmage per game (64 to 47 per game). - Simoni Lawrence last 4 games: Lawrence has been Hamilton's leading tackler in 3 of their last 4 games with 27 in total. - Henoc Muamba: Leads the CFL with 7 Tackles for Loss thus far, well ahead of the pace to break his own CFL record of 13 (2013). - Ernest Jackson: Over his last 3 games he has just 3 catches for 17 yards on 13 targets. - Tyrell Sutton: Last week posted his 2nd-highest receiving total ever with 82 yards on 4 catches (career max? 90 yards Aug 22/14). ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ Fatty Liver, comedygeek, Doublezero and 1 other 2 2
