Goalie Posted August 4, 2018 Report Posted August 4, 2018 A good QB is a leader, hes got high football IQ.. Hes the first guy in the building.. Last one to leave. Hes smart.. He doesn't throw 3 picks in to damn near triple coverage... Manziel lacks the football IQ and it sounds like he lacks the ambition or drive to actually want to get better. He got eaten alive in the nfl and he's getting embarrassed in the CFL... If Johnny Football was just John Manziel... Nobody would pretend.

I just don't see the hype with him.. Never have.. He was a system QB in college like many b4 him who have come from that same system and failed in the pros. Bigblue204 1
NorthernSkunk Posted August 4, 2018 Report Posted August 4, 2018 Enough with the johnny football hype..it appears over. I am wondering now if we can beat the cats when we play them.

JuranBoldenRules Posted August 4, 2018 Report Posted August 4, 2018 Manziel looks horrid in the pocket. I don't think he's completed a pass beyond a quick first read.

They'll get reminded quickly that we're not the sad sack Als. NorthernSkunk 1

And last time we played Ham, we were going with a rookie. I also am loving what I'm seeing out of Demski, Dressler and he'll I think Kenbrell should be given a permanent spot on this roster after how he played last week.
DR. CFL Posted August 4, 2018 Report Posted August 4, 2018 You put a guy in at QB after 4 days of practice on a bad team and you expect what? Seriously.....what a stupid decision from the get go. That circus does nothing positive to promote the CFL .......and then that goes to ESPN......another bone head move. Bigblue204 and comedygeek 2
Bubba Zanetti Posted August 4, 2018 Report Posted August 4, 2018 Dear lord, what a mess in Montreal, and the way Kavis "Clueless" Reed has mortgaged their future, i have no idea how they are going to crawl out of this abyss. Even when we were garbage in the Jim Daley, Mike Kelly, Tim Burke era's, we were never THIS level of excrement. Its truly a shame. They are going to be bad for a long time and the fickle fans in Montreal are going to go bye bye. Tracker, comedygeek and DR. CFL 1 1 1
Eternal optimist Posted August 4, 2018 Report Posted August 4, 2018 I gotta say... the current 47-11 score kind of flatters Montreal here. Bigblue204 1

do or die Posted August 4, 2018 Report Posted August 4, 2018 The agent was right. Beyond the picks, what might concern people, is that his mechanics from the pocket looked lousy....and too many passes just floating up there.... Goalie and Floyd 2

CodyT Posted August 4, 2018 Report Posted August 4, 2018 (edited) This is such bullshit.. I actually feel bad for Manziel and the genuine als fans. Throwing him to the wolves without throwing a regular season cfl pass. 4 practices to learn the offence. kavis reed is honestly a selfish piece of **** and I will be glad when he is done in this league. Humiliating. Johnny’s agent was absolutely right. It was insane There was so many things wrong with this plan that only a FOOL would have thought this could have turned out remotely well Edited August 4, 2018 by CodyT DR. CFL and Fatty Liver 1 1

Zontar Posted August 4, 2018 Author Report Posted August 4, 2018 (edited) Had fun .MTL puts on a good game day Fun atmosphere. Recomend highly. Drank lots. What about the game? HAM offense looked like well coached, smart and efficient. And that's a long painful commentary on MTL. Not HAM. Edited August 4, 2018 by Zontar bearpants and Pete Catan's Ghost 2
Mark H. Posted August 4, 2018 Report Posted August 4, 2018 The attempts by TSN to pump Manziel’s tires were simply pathetic. Watch the game recap (on cfl.ca), they actually sound desperate. johnzo 1
Mark F Posted August 4, 2018 Report Posted August 4, 2018 Even with the lack of practice, the lack of games played, etc, I thought Johnny would be better than that.

He showed glimpses of what he could do but Matt Dunnigan was bang on. As a QB you fully learn the Defense first before even thinking Offense. It showed on his first throw how right Matt Dunnigan was. JuranBoldenRules Posted August 4, 2018 Report Posted August 4, 2018 One easy step Montreal can take this week...get a legit freaking kicker. They are using an import spot anyway, get a guy who can actually get a punt off.
