17to85 Posted October 7, 2018 Report Posted October 7, 2018 Also why do people ignore ottawa playing 3 down football?

It looks like a classic case of overthinking and beating yourself. We do the same thing on offense. We should just stay with what is working until and if they take it away, then make an adjustment. How many times have we seen this movie? Partially - but there were certainly other variables at play.
TBURGESS Posted October 7, 2018 Report Posted October 7, 2018 Fogg stumbled and went down. No OPI, just bad luck. We got that back when their DB ran into the goalpost in OT which gave us a good luck TD. blue_gold_84 1

Dressler backed him off, froze him beside the goalpost with a stutter-step, and then broke it wide. Dressler used the goalpost masterfully.
TBURGESS Posted October 7, 2018 Report Posted October 7, 2018 It's a good move vet move by Dressler that doesn't mean it wasn't lucky that the DB ran into the post. Bigblue204, blue_gold_84 and Atomic 3

SpeedFlex27 Posted October 7, 2018 Report Posted October 7, 2018 (edited) Does it matter if Dressler was lucky or not? We scored on the play & we won. That's all I care about. Edited October 7, 2018 by SpeedFlex27
Mr Dee Posted October 7, 2018 Report Posted October 7, 2018 Luck has nothing to do with it. The ball didn’t glance off someone’s helmet or hand or goalpost. Dressler ran a route to help his QB. He’s a pro. It worked. It was there. Bravo Nichols..Bravo Dressler Bigblue204, SPuDS, Noeller and 1 other 4
Bigblue204 Posted October 7, 2018 Report Posted October 7, 2018 Lol the dressler Td was luck? I've read some interesting opinions on here over the past year....that one is the dumbest. blue_gold_84, Mr Dee, Atomic and 1 other 1 3

Atomic Posted October 8, 2018 Report Posted October 8, 2018 Running a good route is luck? That is just plain ridiculous SPuDS, blue_gold_84 and Wanna-B-Fanboy 3

TBURGESS Posted October 8, 2018 Report Posted October 8, 2018 I'll bet that Dressler uses that tactic every time he gets a chance, because it's a good tactic. I'll bet that every inside receiver does too. Heck, we had plays designed like that in high school football back in the '70's. Once, maybe twice a season, league wide, the DB runs into the post. If you don't see the element of luck in it, I can't change your mind. blue_gold_84, Wanna-B-Fanboy and SPuDS 3
Mr Dee Posted October 8, 2018 Report Posted October 8, 2018 I suppose you could say there’s an element of luck that the Bombers weren’t playing Montreal in Montreal and the pass didn’t hit one of their gullls that are flying around. Thats pretty lucky.. Wanna-B-Fanboy, blue_gold_84 and SPuDS 3

Thats pretty lucky.. Cuz that's exactly the same thing. All QB's are trying to hit the gulls. Once or twice a season they do. {Insert eye roll meme here}

And sorry yet again but the Calgary Stamps organization is something the Bomber organization should try and aspire to. They are the top organization in the CFL as of today - Nice try though! I would definitely take Claybrooks over Hall any day of the week, and anyone who wouldn't is just plain old obtuse with loyalty like our head coach.
B-F-F-C Posted October 14, 2018 Report Posted October 14, 2018 So...has anyone changed their mind about Richie Hall's defence? I was never as hard on him as others on here have been but even I'm impressed how it's turned around. So now I'm turning my efforts on getting Lapo fired. 😆 Wanna-B-Fanboy, Mark H., blue_gold_84 and 1 other 4
Brandon Posted October 14, 2018 Report Posted October 14, 2018 The Richie Hall defense of yesterday was not the same defense earlier in the season. The amount of guys they sent in on blitzes was ridiculous in a good way.
