Harris busts quick trap play for 30 yds.. down to the 10.....
Nichols runs play action, then finds Dressler all alone in back of endzone
7-7....could be a high scorer today.....
Green popped by Bighill on 1st down run....funbles..Bomber ball....
Harris pounds it down to the 6....Cats offside puts it at the 3
Harris bulls in for the TD...Bomber O-line getting good push in run game...
Bighill and Blue DT's stuffing Hamilton run game....
Some missed tackles hurting Bombers on D.....
Hamilton takes a bunch of penalties,,,,two possessions in a row.....
Bighill forces his way into Hamilton backfield and lays hard sack on Masoli

Nichols throws Incomplete..into double coverage to snuff out another drive
Bomber D gets the stop with 6 minutes to go....
2nd and 12...Demski makes nice effort on hitch pass...to set up FD...
Petermann takes 2nd down short flair...beats couple of tacklers for another FD
Blue can't get it in. Medlock makes it 29-23 with 1:20 left.....
Hamilton having trouble with amped up noise... takes 2 proceedure calls...
Bighill caps off huge game by tackling Masoli in pocket on 3rd and 13
Ballgame.  Up and down game all round.....
Plenty of room for improvement - but job got done
Much to ponder - but gin got drunk.

I said earlier in the season when the defence was struggling that at some point this season we'll need them to win a game for us.  This was a perfect example where the defence bailed out the offence who at times struggled and gave the cats an opportunity to get back in the game.

Hats off to Richie Hall and his charges.

Both of them, game after game, play at all star level. 

Harris bulldozed two Ham defenders including Larry Dean, 11 from the two, for a td. 

the D line played great, but some of those Ticat O lineman are not quick on their feet.

Refs calling wpg for intentional grounding, after Masoli's three or four,😂.

( After the third or fourth one, Moss probably mentioned the rule to them, and the light went on, "oh yeah, forgot about that one".... then call Nichols )

I assume a large portion of the offensive struggle can be attributed to not having #7 in the game after Q1. That being said, #15 didn't have a great game.

Very impressed with Medlock, Harris, Bighill, whole D line......and of course the fans who turned the volume right up for the last minute 20!!

And how about our back-up qb Bennett making a sweet special teams tackle !! I've never seen a back up qb play specials, I assume this is pretty uncommon?

Providing Nichols can get the ball anywhere close to the target. 3 of his mid-range throws vs Hammy were very nearly picks. 3 of his deep balls were wildly off target. Yes, the deep misses could have been the receivers messing up. But Masoli looked way more accurate than Nichols, who stood in the pocket all night. Why was that? By-week rust? Is he still injured?

I hope you're right. The TD throws to Dressler and Demski were things of beauty. Nichols didn't move around much though. Pretty static in the pocket. That's unusual. This is the CFL after all.

As was suggested by others in this forum, a better choice might be to plug Peterman in and start an import at Safety. Loffler has been underwhelming.

An impact receiver would be more benefit than a safety..Loffler hasnt been his usual self but in no way is hurting us or costing us games..tho another threat on offence has huge implications

Have to agree on Loffler....he isn't costing us but he's far from the guy we drafted and had such hopes for...His first year was terrific.....then he started tailing off to where he is playing 'just good enough' to hold a spot...Disappointed in his performance so far this year and hope he can turn it around orrrrr if not we might be looking for someone to upgrade

Our last game, he seemed out of position on occasion. I think his football instincts are failing him right now.

Disagree.  All of Masoli's and Green's significant runs featured a missed tackle by Loffler.  Our D is immensely better having the Leggett and Fenner on the field together every down without having to sacrifice Alexander or Sayles.  At this point not having to keep Loffler on the field for the majority of snaps is addition by subtraction too.  They can still have a role for him to play and maybe he can get his mojo back in that and chasing kicks.

Petermann is averaging what, 2 broken tackles per reception this season?  Simonise is a legit deep threat.  Between those two you have a big threat IMO.  You could still dress Flanders or Washington as a DI if Dressler comes out.

With possibly the exception of the 2nd Toronto game....Loffler has been pretty underwhelming, all year.

The biggest issue with that is loffler is often in position to make a tackle but sells out for a hit instead. Guys the league over have it figured out and have adapted. If he would adjust as well doing more sound wrap up and take down it would open up his ability to hit some times as well. He has got to be among the league leaders in missed tackles. 
 

Mo at S, fenner at sam, then we need a back up rotational db, not a hard spot to fill.

There was a big special teams tackle during the game by Bennett I believe, though Rod Black gave the credit to Loffler.  I couldn't tell if it was #16 or #18 on the jersey.  I think it was Bennett though and Rod was just wrong as usual.
