CFL Game #47 Team Trends – Calgary at Saskatchewan:

- Stamps Off a Bye / Bye games on the road: Calgary has played 17 games since 2005 when they have come off a bye week and have a perfect 17-0 record back to July 2005. This year, they won after a bye in 2018 Week #4 defeating Ottawa 20-17 on Jul 12/18. Their last loss after a bye came on Jul 1/05 vs TOR and that was in Wk #2 when they had yet to play that season. Calgary is 11-0 in the 11 of those 17 post-bye games that have been on the road as they are this week.

- How Dominant has Calgary been? Up by 14+ Pts UPDATE: One way of measuring a team's sustained level of dominance is how often they take big leads. The Stamps have led in EVERY contest this season by 14 or more points and this it is now 7 games in a row. In CFL history only three teams have EVER led by 14+ points in more than 7 consecutive games and none made it to 8 in a row:

Rob Maver Inside the 10: Maver has at least one punt pinning opponents inside the 10-yard line in his last 4 games and in 6 of 7 overall this year. He is #1 in the CFL with 7 of these 'I10' punts this year and with 70 since 2012.

👁‍🗨Justin Medlock is tied for 2nd with 5. (Last year Medlock had a total of 7)

Lauther 94%: Since Week #2 Brett Lauther has been the have I CFL's most accurate FG kicker other Lewis Ward. Lauther has made 15-of- 16 attempts for a 93.8% mark over the last 6 games. What is remarkable however is that his average FG made in that span is 38.1 yards. For the season, his average FG made of 38.6 yards is #1 in the CFL.

- Recent SSK v CGY matchups: The Riders have split the last two meetings against Calgary after snapping a 10-game losing streak against them across the 2013-2017 seasons. Since 2013, Zach Collaros will this week be the 7th different Riders' starting QB to face the Stampeders. Calgary has had just three in that time (Tate, Glenn & Mitchell).

- Riders holding leads: The Riders have been fantastic recently in winning when they enter the 4th Quarter with the lead. Since 2016 they are 13-2 when leading after Q3 and 31-9 since 2013.

- Calgary #1 in 20 Defensive Rankings: Including fewest points allowed, Calgary is #1 ranked in 20 out of the 28 defensive statistical categories. The only exceptions are primarily in Turnovers forced and passing attempts.

- Alex Singleton Update: Through Week #9 no player had a higher % of his team's defensive tackles. Singleton has made 45 of the 258 Calgary defensive tackles for a 17.4% share. Next: Adam Bighill at 14.71%, and J.C. Sherritt at 14.65%.

- Few starters: This game features the two teams that have employed the fewest number of starters this year. Saskatchewan has had just 31 different players start at least one game while Calgary is next at just 32 starters.

- Zach Collaros: Combined with Hamilton and Saskatchewan he is 1-14 in his last 15 starts and 25-29 overall in 54 career starts.

- Bo Levi Mitchell: Threw for a season-high 370 yards in his last game - this was his 6th career game of 370+ yards. Mitchell brings a 28-6-2 record as a starter on the road into this game at Mosaic Stadium. He also an active 8-game TD pass streak back to 2017 and has won his last 7 starts.

- Sacks in 23 straight games: Calgary had their streak with at least one sack in 23 games in a row snapped last game.

- 12.3 / 11.1 Pts Allowed: Calgary is challenging a long-held CFL record having allowed only 12.3 total points per game thus far. In the entire CFL Era (1958 to today), the fewest TOTAL points allowed record is held by the 1964 BC Lions at 10.5 per game and followed by Hamilton (1965) at 10.9 ppg against.

- Calgary +17 T/O Ratio: The Stamps are at +17 for their 2018 Turnover advantage - that +17 mark after 7 games is on pace for +44 which would break the CFL record set by Edmonton in 1981 at +41. Calgary's club record is +27 set in 1996.

- Most QB Starters Single Season: Montreal has used 4 different QB starters this year and with Johnny Manziel questionable for Week #10 may lead to Antonio Pipkin or Matthew Shiltz being #5 for them. The CFL record is 6 different starters by Winnipeg in 1983 (Dieter Brock, Tom Clements, Norman Gibbs, Nickie Hall, John Hufnagel and Mark Jackson).

- 1st Down Rushing Avg: Despite having the CFL's #2 rusher in William Powell, the REDBLACKS have averaged the lowest number of yards on 1st down rushing plays. They have gained just 4.8 yards per 1st down rush and that ranks #9 overall. By contrast, Winnipeg is tied with Montreal for #1 in the CFL at 6.2 yards per 1st down rush.

- Lewis Ward 96%: Ward began his career with a 3-for-4 FG performance in the season opener and since then has not missed a kick of any kind. Ward is now 25-for-26 96.2% with a streak of 22 makes in a row, the longest streak ever made by a 1st Year player.

lol sask dominating.

But they can't put it into the end zone. I've seen this before. Teams come out flying, dominate, don't score & then fade. Still over 3 quarters to go.
