Guys like George Reed, Blake Marshall & Jim  Evenson back in the day would have 25-35 carries in a game & be in their 30"s. They had no problem being every down players at their old age.

I’m not educated on what happened in the 60s and 70s so I can’t speak to that but few elite backs can handle a full load at this point in their career.

Marshall was the 90's. What a freaking load he was. He weighed 240 lbs & just ran straight ahead.

George Reed average 15 carries a game for his career and 1.44 catches per game.

Did you walk to school uphill both ways too?

We really should have 2 back offenses in the CFL.  Everyone runs a single back system & backs get hurt. It affects just about every team.

Unfortunately, roster size isn’t conducive to that.

The Eskimoes and other good teams get more creative as the game goes on. LaPo gets less.

Our run plays are real easy to read and Stubler is just throwing a run blitz at the play side tackle.  Bryant or Hardrick aren't going to block 3 guys.  No lead blocks, no ability to get off tackle = a loss every time.
