Atomic Posted October 13, 2018 Report Posted October 13, 2018 Dress rehearsal for when we beat the Riders in the playoffs.

NorthernSkunk Posted October 13, 2018 Report Posted October 13, 2018 Hopefully this is the game that Matty breaks that elusive 300 yards passing, and the Bombers put a very very serious scare into the rider blowhards.

I'd like to see that but considering the weather, it's gonna come down to the run game and the trenches....... Luckily, we've got the upper hand in that department.
HardCoreBlue Posted October 13, 2018 Report Posted October 13, 2018 Friendly reminder to our man MN. Do not, under any circumstances, throw any type of pass, underhand, flic etc to Jefferson's side, especially under duress. Set him up to lose his contain so all he sees is the back of our guy running into the endzone. Go Blue. Eternal optimist, Mark F and Mr Dee 1 2
Eternal optimist Posted October 13, 2018 Report Posted October 13, 2018 I don't care how cold my wife (she's always cold) and other fans will be. I love outdoor cold weather games... just fantastic to be at. Mark F 1
Doublezero Posted October 13, 2018 Report Posted October 13, 2018 Blustery weather dictates that this game will be fought in the trenches. Our O line is better than Riders but Mason and Thigpen need to be contained. Special teams and kick returns could be big. It's going to come down to fewest turnovers. Mark F 1

I agree with the weather conditions I believe it will be won or lost in the trenches. I think our OL is better then the riders however their DL is better than ours - so I see this as a wash. It will be whoever makes the fewest mistakes that will come out on top and in cases like this I have some trepidation around MN. He tends to panic too easily.
blueingreenland Posted October 13, 2018 Report Posted October 13, 2018 620 radio in Regina was just interviewing Tom Clements. Boy, I loved that guy. They asked him who the best QB he ever coached was (Brett Favre or Rodgers). He said Rogers was. I wonder if we could ever see Clements back in Winnipeg in the future - coach/G.M.? I doubt it. Anyways, Bombers by 10 in this one.
Guest J5V Posted October 13, 2018 Report Posted October 13, 2018 I see this game as a battle between two good teams that have gelled and are playing some good ball. It's going to be a battle of wills and who cracks first. Here's hoping MOS's faith in his offensive, defensive, and special teams coordinators is well placed. If the coaches and players are all on the same page, and at this point in the season they have to be, then we can win this. We don't need anything spectacular, like last game. All we need is for everyone to be responsible, play within themselves and for each other, and to play as a team in all three phases of the game. Go Blue!
Tracker Posted October 13, 2018 Report Posted October 13, 2018 It will come down to trench warfare- both Collaros and Nichols need more time than most to make their reads and neither are roll-out experts or threats to run. Mr Dee and Mark F 2
blueingreenland Posted October 13, 2018 Report Posted October 13, 2018 Rider offense will be limited to no more than 17 points today...trouble is, can we limit their defense/special teams from scoring?

FrostyWinnipeg Posted October 13, 2018 Report Posted October 13, 2018 Due to the inclement weather the roof at IGF will be closed today. EDIT: Due to an hydraulic failure the roof will remain open. BigBlueFanatic, M.O.A.B., bearpants and 2 others 5

JuranBoldenRules Posted October 13, 2018 Report Posted October 13, 2018 Man...this offence just stinks. Lapo has to get the ball moving. Running dive to Harris every first down isn’t going to cut it. Putting Nichols in 2nd and 10 every time.
NorthernSkunk Posted October 13, 2018 Report Posted October 13, 2018 That cocky walk by Nichols was funny lol......
Captain Blue Posted October 13, 2018 Report Posted October 13, 2018 Offense has one splash play and nothing else. They are really struggling. First down runs are terrible right now and Nichols is still struggling against the blitz.
SpeedFlex27 Posted October 13, 2018 Report Posted October 13, 2018 Loffler with his second pick of the game. Collaros getting pressured.
Floyd Posted October 13, 2018 Report Posted October 13, 2018 Lapo calling deep balls and Loffler playing like an all-star... fine with me.
