DougR Posted October 17, 2018 Report Posted October 17, 2018 I just read that my neighbors to the North have legaliZed pot.  Does that mean watching our cardiac kids will involve less anxiety? 😉 Puff Puff.  Â
JCon Posted October 17, 2018 Report Posted October 17, 2018 It's legal in Canada now, not new. Those who smoked before, will continue. Just means they're buying it from a store and paying taxes rather than from dealers and gangs. blue_gold_84, Tracker, Blueandgold and 6 others 4 1 4
Tracker Posted October 17, 2018 Report Posted October 17, 2018 It just means that more of us Canucks now give a hoot. Piggy 1 and JCon 2

Mr Dee Posted October 17, 2018 Report Posted October 17, 2018 The legalization won’t change much for Canadians, except for the way we say high! instead of hi! JCon and blue_gold_84 1 1

Eternal optimist Posted October 18, 2018 Report Posted October 18, 2018 I'm so excited for this to topic to be out of the news. Yes, it's now legal, it will be taxed heavily, probably won't be as big of a windfall as the Liberals would want... moving on...

During the course of the series, he is shot and wounded over a dozen separate times, and knocked unconscious around 55 times." ......and yet, every week he was up and ready to take another pounding!

I suppose in volume. I think, like tobacco, there will always be a black market for cannabis, just nowhere the size it is now.Â

MOBomberFan Posted October 18, 2018 Report Posted October 18, 2018 These high school 2-for-25 prices are clueless. Nobody but the most casual pot smoker will change their source. If the gov't is serious about eliminating the black market they need to get competitive in a hurry. The only market they are attracting now is people who wanted to smoke but didn't because of the illegality or lack of a source. Not that I know, no sir. Friend of a friend and all that. SPuDS 1

I think for a few grams it's similar but once you start getting into larger quantities, you're right. If you have a reliable dealer, then I can see lots of people, just like your friend, sticking with the non-retail suppliers.  bigg jay 1
Brandon Posted October 18, 2018 Report Posted October 18, 2018 I haven't followed anything at all but have they increased the penalties for dealing drugs in Manitoba?  Usually when it comes to crimes that involves losing out on that sweet tax money... the punishments are much more strict.
NorthernSkunk Posted October 18, 2018 Report Posted October 18, 2018 Street dealers are going to have to up their quality and consistency of quality of their products if they've are going to compete with the labs in the long run. Â Even now the choices shopping legally for quality is pretty good......

I never said ALL of it has been poor quality, but there has been a lot of poor quality over the years.  If you think the street dealer is supplying you with the best product then great for you........ I think all the labs out there will up the game tremendously.  And definitly not just the federal labs.
