CFL Game #81 Notes & Trends:

 Montreal Roster Turnover Since Week #1: The Alouettes lineup this week will bear little resemblance to their Season-Opener. Of the 24 players who started in Week #1, just 9 (38%) started their most recent game. Of the 15 players absent from the Week #1 starters list, 8 players have been either traded, released or inactive, 5 are on the IL and 2 are now substitutes.

#1-#2 in Total Players: The Argos and Als have used by far the highest number of players this season. Montreal has dressed 80 different players and with Toronto at 78 in total they are only clubs with more than 70 through Week #18. Montreal has used 58 different players in their starting lineup and Toronto has had 51.

 The Argos have been eliminated from the post-season after a 3-year run and their 2017 Grey Cup victory. With that, Toronto joins 9 previous Grey Cup winners since 1958 to NOT make the playoffs in the next season.

 For Coach Trestman this is the longest losing streak of his CFL career.

Henoc Muamba: Has had a solid season for the Als' defence and is 12 tackles short of his second career 100+ season.

Chip Cox: Now ranks #4 all-time (across 1987-2018) with 964 career Defensive Tackles. He has 37 in his last 5 games.

John Bowman: Needs one Sack to tie Stewart Hill for #7 all-time. He had one in Week #17 to make it 125 for his career.

S.J. Green: Has gone over 9,000 receiving yards (9,006) and needs 31 to move up to #28 all-time and pass James Murphy (9,036).

Glenn Love: Has a solid streak going with at least one ST Tackle in his last 7 games. He had 4 in Montreal's last game.

Green & Edwards: Come in with reception streaks - Green is at 34 straight games and Edwards in all 36 of his CFL games.

Toronto up by 10+: The Argos have led just once all season by as many as 10 points and that was back on Jul 7/18 vs Edmonton.

Toronto at home: Toronto's 2018 home schedule concludes with this game. They are 3-5 at home and winless on the road.

By 1 point: Three of Toronto's 7 home games thus far have been decided by one point.

 The Argos look to avoid an 8th straight defeat for the first time since 2009 - the last time they lost 7 in a row

I'm sure it's all about the Habs in La Belle Province nowadays.

Well, it's been years of ineptitude there.  I'm not surprised.

Crazy how we 'dodged a bullet' when Muamba decided to sign in Montreal...  no one thought that at the time...

Yes, very happy to have Biggie instead.

The tag line actually should be "is anyone even in the stadium?"

I mean, when you talk about the Argos having attendance problems even in the success years, I can't even begin to think it's gotta be real bad about now with the Leafs' season under way.

Nice throw by Franklin. Dropped it in there right in stride. Beautiful to see.

teams are playing hard.

allouettes must have the worst O line in the CFL.

Yes, Manziel getting hit hard. Argos with the sloppy tackling too. Two bad teams. LOL!

when you have a rebuilt knee does it cause problems over time with arthritis and weakness?

How often do those forty yards and longer passes work? seems like not the best way to move the ball.

you can see why they like franklin, when he is playing well, he can really put it into a small space. just has to stop with int.

SJ Green is one fearless receiver. Gawd I like that guy. No wonder TO didn't want to give him up.

Trestman doesn't like Franklin from everything I've read. He's not a Trestman guy, apparently. But MBT is so bad he was forced to play Franklin again. So, the question is.. Is Franklin a flash in the pan or is it the system he plays under?

There are some good players in this game on both teams. Stanback looks good considering he has no Oline to run through. Ripped off a 72 yarder in this game. Imagine him behind a good line.

What was Franklin doing there? No one around him, screen play sniffed out, so he throws it into the dirt intentionally? You gotta be kidding! Try and make a play there you *****!

Nice drive by Manziel considering he has no Oline. The Larks win the first half.
