Walters hinted in presser he was going to try and get a couple more pieces on O to put them over the top.

We need more receivers, no question.

We've been relying on Dressler and Adams (which wasn't enough) and Dressler is likely out. Thank god for the young Canadians.

Agreed, we need a game breaking receiver. I think this would open up our other receivers.

Walters tried to upgrade our receivers by adding Bowman last year. Who knew the tires had fallen off him that badly. Considering the turmoil going on all over the West and the number of 1-year contracts being signed from here on out you'd think Winnipeg is considered the best bet for a sure playoff cheque or two this season.

We might have such a game-breaker already on our roster- big, good hands, very fast and a Canuck to boot. All we need is for the receivers coach to tune him up and give him the playing time to establish a rapport with our QB(s).

Hopefully after last season's Bowman and Durant debacles, Walters reevaluates his pursuit of older F.A.'s and concentrates on retaining his own players first.  At this point I'd much rather see them bring in new talent at places of need rather than rely on paying hefty salaries for established league veterans.  Such is the case that the economics of re-signing Bighill, Chungh, Goosen, Bryant, etc. must be balanced out with a flow of new cheaper talent.  Time to make the scouts earn their pay-cheques and not rely on F.A. to fix all inadequacies.

As much as I love Wolitarski's game- he's no Darrell walker or JWL.

interesting to find out that medlock has signed in around the 130-135k range...very affordable for what he gives you, and when you consider he does all 3 jobs, where some teams have to employ 2 to do that..even better value as you have most likely have 1 guy making the equivalent, and in many cases less than 2 guys combined on another roster as separate specialists

I was referring to Simonise. Wolitarsky appears to be more of a possession receiver who can catch in traffic, punish d-backs and power ahead for more yards. I don't think we have seen anywhere near Simonise's potential yet, and maybe we never will. All the physical tools and talent do no good if the fire in the belly is not there. We just do not know yet.

I wonder if Zylstra will shake loose from the Vikings? He would be a great fit here (and not far from home).

I imagine he has loyalty to the Esks but, without Reilly there, he may be persuaded to look elsewhere.

of all our National talent..Simonese is the guy I am most excited/intrigued about..I watched a lot of camp..and practice and just watching him you know he is going to be good...if you didn't know who was who you would peg him as an import. The fire is there obviously as he played the teams and worked hard at it, and when thrown two (albeit only 5 or 6 times) he made most of his opportunity...

Last year was is getting back to football mindset/shape and his re-introduction to a system and structure as he was basically on the shelf for 2 years...and from what I have heard from some people I have spoken with if not for his PED incident the Bengals would have kept him around as they loved his skillset and the untapped potential...also to consider how many Canadian University/Jumior football kids who play wideout actually get into game action in an NFL training camp...very very few...and invites to those camps pre mini camp don't count as they are basically meaningless.

And his attitude was great. On the field and off, he said all the right things.

Re: Walters learning lessons.....there was a rumour about mid-season that Manny Arceneaux was likely to be a Bombers player in 2019....here's hoping that does NOT happen without a time machine in tow.

Same goes for Ernest Jackson, SJ Green or any other receiver that peaked 3 years ago.

Ernest Jackson been misused in Montreal. I'm shocked he re-upped there.

Oh... I have seen very little Simonise- but yeah, he could be a gooder.

Hey, we all love Manny........in 2011.

The guy had 1100 yards receiving in 2017 and 1566 in 2016....  last season if he was healthy he would of had about 1100 yards which is more then Darvin had.
