Ed Tait suggested that we should follow the FCS final between Eastern Washington and Maine to see how this guy (who's on our neg list) does:

Quote

Eric Barriere, Eastern Washington

Position: Quarterback
Height.: 6-0
Weight: 195
4-1-1: Assumed the starting job in the fall after an injury to starter Gage Gubrud (who is on B.C.’s neg list) and has taken the Eagles to the FCS Semi-Finals. A dual threat QB who threw for 17 TDs and ran for seven more.

Early in the third qtr, Eastern Washington leads Maine by 35 to 5. Barriere's stats: 18-24, 254 YDS, 5 TD, 1 INT.

Impressive. Here's a link to ESPN's site:

Sounds like he would not get a sniff from the NFL, but would do well here if he has the ability to adapt to the CFL game. A true dark horse.

He'll have to get in line, we're still waiting for Vern Adams to ripen.

He made his name playing for Oregon... did he also play for E Wash?

Probably a good idea to get these deals out of the way now. I'm sure they're content with a modest raise and then Walters is free to focus on the bigger contracts once the CBA is finalized.

What's the timeline for the CBA

Here's to some of the OL getting their deals done.

Some of them (Bryant and Yoshi) already did.  Still waiting on the Canadian guys though.

Sad story for the guy.   As a bombers fan I don’t see this having a huge effect as this team is loaded at offensive line and will likely add to the depth in this year’s draft.

Looked to be a horrific injury. Can't blame him- in a few years that ankle will be arthritic as heck.
