Good for him. Nice to see him transition into that kind of role. His playing days were done, glad he wasn't trying to hold on.

I'm entirely sure what his crime was that landed him for two-years in Regina but I'm glad he's put that behind him and is looking for a fresh start. Good on Johnson for getting your life back on track!

Sure. And yet another another receiver signed by another team.

Walters targeted the top WRs. Failed, but tried. Signing Manny "Adarius" Arceneaux would not have solved anything. Obviously, when plan A failed, he's moving onto the NFL cuts.

The more things change the more they remain the same.

Could go back 1 year to the day.. Same ppl bitching about receiver.. Bitching about not signing a MLB last FA Frenzy..

Im sorry but is it June yet? No it isn't so not sure what the whining is about.

No matter how it all worked out, obviously for the better, Walters got lucky with Bighill. Timing was crucial. That could not have been the plan but, to Walters credit, he jumped when he had to. Also got him pretty cheap.

He did fail to land a top WR. But, rather than just signing a Tier 2 receiver, he's banking on the NFL cuts.

Yes, there is no communicating between agents/gms/coaches of multiple leagues/scouts etc etc etc. There was no way of knowing Biggy was looking at a return to the CFL, in the same way there is no way of knowing which former CFL rec are on the cuff of looking at a return to the CFL....it's impossible and entirely based on luck and luck alone.

That's the wildcard with that signing. Can Manny's knee stand up to the pounding game in & game out?

Used sparingly as a red zone threat Manny would probably be pretty darn effective... but who are we kidding, the Riders will barely see the red zone to begin with.

They didn't sign Arceneaux to be used sparingly.
