pigseye Posted March 14, 2019 Report Posted March 14, 2019 (edited) Hmmm, awfully quiet in here, Bruins are on a losing streak and I see that continuing tonight. Edited March 14, 2019 by pigseye t
Jimmy Pop Posted March 14, 2019 Report Posted March 14, 2019 I'm still not over the SJ game. But will be in 324 as usual, giving Bruins fans a hard time.

FrostyWinnipeg Posted March 15, 2019 Author Report Posted March 15, 2019 For the arena is hollow and Mark Scheifele's stick touched the sky. Noeller 1
iHeart Posted March 15, 2019 Report Posted March 15, 2019 (edited) I dare them to waive this goal off I DARE THEM Trouba credited 4-2 jets, well done Ehlers when was the last time we swept the bruins? Edited March 15, 2019 by iHeart
BomberBall Posted March 15, 2019 Report Posted March 15, 2019 Really good start. Poor end to the 1st and terrible 2nd. Pretty good push back in the 3rd. Very uneven play, but it’s sure nice to get a win in a game like that.

Goalie Posted March 15, 2019 Report Posted March 15, 2019 Laine is the best player on his line. Scheif and Wheels still blow in the D zone.

blue_gold_84 Posted March 15, 2019 Report Posted March 15, 2019 A mostly solid game but - most of all - a much needed victory. Scheifele really bounced back after a rough stretch and I thought Hellebuyck played better after a shaky game on Tuesday vs. the Sharks.
Noeller Posted March 15, 2019 Report Posted March 15, 2019 First time I've had any belief in the "Scheif/Wheels are crap" narrative was Wheeler turning the puck over with :30 left, not getting the puck cleared properly because he tried to cutesey it instead of just getting the damn thing out of the zone. It was very close to ending up in the back of our net and tying the game again. Now, having said that, I still believe we've got some key players playing way more hurt than they're letting on...

Our first line had a pretty good game... problem is that everyone expects them to be perfect all game every game - Wheeler was exhausted at that point but Maurice is a top line/key situation guy, that's not going to change. Laine was the weakest on the first line - got pushed off the puck and made some bad decisions - one leading to the first goal I think... but overall they were solid. Noeller 1
JCon Posted March 15, 2019 Report Posted March 15, 2019 I was a bit concerned, following the Bruins timeout, when they sent Kulikov and Myers out for the defensive zone face-off. I was convinced the Bruins would score. Almost but not quite.
Goalie Posted March 15, 2019 Report Posted March 15, 2019 (edited) Scheif was on ice for 3 bruins goals. Wheeler for 2. Their D zone play does blow.. Laine is the best player on the line currently... All this 55 26 suck in the D zone is fact based and backed up with all sorts of fancy stats. Plus if you actually watch them they float hard in the D zone. Wheeler being exhausted plays no role in his D zone play earlier in the game and all season.. Seriously watch a game from last season. Both him and scheif are floating this year. Break em up. Spread out the talent more. Ladd Little Wheeler was a thing. 2 of 3 are still here. Who is the Ladd tho. Ehlers? Connor? Laine? Connor Scheif Laine had a shift last game and for that shift scheif looked like last years Scheif. They are complacent with each other. Ill tell you this.. Now is the time to try different combos. pigseye Posted March 15, 2019 Report Posted March 15, 2019 (edited) Laine - Fefe - Elhers Perrault - Little - Wheeler Connor - Hayes - Roslovic Tanev - Lowery - Cop Even a dud coach like Maurice could match and roll those lines. Edited March 15, 2019 by pigseye q blue_gold_84 1
