1 the returners. Especially Nelson. He not only was productive he made the smart plays and didn't risk it by running side ways. Whitehead looked dangerous very stokes esq but Will risk losing yards to make yards.

2 Mcguire. Played surprisingly well on a night the whole offense seemed rusty and out of sync. Bennett made some nice plays but had wrs struggling while he was in.

3 mccallister/Richardson some great pressure, out side discipline and a great sack each.

HH Schrot with the TD catch late then getting carried off the field by hardrick.

Honorable mention to Olivera on his great run on his first play from scrimmage.

Hard game to pick three since it was really ugly but I'd say

1 -  Fenner/Este/Sayles

2  - Bennett showed that he isn't useless and  would be able to produce.

3 - The Canadians who won't make the team but played hard.

HH  -  Mexican kicker who seemed to really be having fun.

1. Medlock - money kicker and underrated punter. Ill say Kickers tho cuz the Mexican was a nice story.

2. Schrot- he scored the TD.. Hes local.. Its a big deal. Rudy got carried off the field..

3. This is difficult... Nelson? Nah.. Whitehead? Exciting AF but nah... Walker? No. Lawler? Nope. Hmm.. Ill go with another nice story as 3rd star... The German kid... He looks like he could ve a special teams demon.

HH to the fans for sitting through the poorly paced game and The Bombers for streaming the game live... Streaming.. How far we've come under the CDN Mafia is impressive.. Doing innovative **** now

Wish some of our receivers we brought in would step up when it really counts. It seems like every year we have several receivers look great in training camp but turn invisible once the lights are on.

Its preseason.  Gotta get a rhythm going.. patience padawan.

The first pre season game is akin to a regular season game being played at 6 am. Half the players seemed asleep at the switch. With all the subs going in & out everything was out of sync. It can only get better offensively.  I want to see Lawler come down with some footballs as well. He has one more chance.

No time for patience , these guys if they are lucky get 2 shots...gotta show up or your going home.

SPuDS is talking big picture here when he speaks about patience. Things will sort themselves out as they always do.  Yes, it's true that players have to show what they can do with limited opportunities & some will get more chances than others. Lawler & some of the new receivers, for example.

Seems a lot worse with the limited pads/contact practices these days.

Yea well the orginal post WAS about rec in training camp not translating to preseason games..hence the no patience...no big picture there.

Part of it was this was our 1st X game and Edmonton 2nd so Maas was being a **** and blitzing all game

That was Lolly the DC. If he wants to show his hand then more power to him. Most teams don't blitz so as not to give anything away in pre season.

Lolly also said that the 1st pre-season game was the least you would see them blitz all year (and they still did quite a bit in that game) so its not as if this was going to be a surprise for the Bombers.

Bombers blitz a fair bit too

Lots of blitzing last night too. It used to be considered bad form, but teams have been blitzing in preseason for years now.
