AKAChip Posted June 9, 2019 Report Posted June 9, 2019 What a great kid. Cousin Zach will be fondly remembered as the greatest Bomber in history. The Ring of Honour awaits. Bigblue204, Noeller, M.O.A.B. and 2 others 3 2
Mr Dee Posted June 9, 2019 Author Report Posted June 9, 2019 Darrin Bauming, TSN. (@DarrinBauming) Tweeted: Rashaun Simonise, released by the #Bombers yesterday, was set to make in the neighbourhood of $75k in salary this season, plus potential performance bonuses. The Canadian receiver was drafted 12th-overall in 2018.

Mr Dee Posted June 9, 2019 Author Report Posted June 9, 2019 (edited) Now we know the real reason Simonise was released... Chris Mathews #13 😁 Edited June 9, 2019 by Mr Dee rebusrankin, SPuDS and Nickthesizz 2 1

M.O.A.B. Posted June 9, 2019 Report Posted June 9, 2019 (edited) Coombs - Simonise tradeoff is not bad after all (I think). Experience vs potentail I suppose. And with the depth we have in NAT Rec and RB, Coombs may not need to play every snap so that might help him to be healthy for the whole season. Edited June 10, 2019 by M.O.A.B. Tracker and wbbfan 2

BBlink Posted June 10, 2019 Report Posted June 10, 2019 Coombs would be an immediate upgrade over Simonise and wouldn't necessarily have to stay healthy. So I guess he's got that going for him M.O.A.B. and wbbfan 2
Brandon Posted June 10, 2019 Report Posted June 10, 2019 Can't go wrong with Coombs as depth M.O.A.B., wbbfan and Tracker 2 1

Mr Dee Posted June 10, 2019 Author Report Posted June 10, 2019 Re: Coombs To the shock of many, the Argos tried to move Anthony Coombs to wideout. Under the team’s previous regime led by GM Jim Barker, the Argos viewed Coombs, a Canadian, as an Andre Durie type who can line up in the backfield or move to the slot position. Coombs is a lot of things, but he’s not a wideout. Sadly, he’s been plagued by injury, but in the right system Coombs is a valuable piece. https://torontosun.com/sports/football/cfl/toronto-argonauts/argos-trim-their-roster-but-more-moves-looming#click=https://t.co/kJS2edbjaG Injury, my underlining concern... 17to85 Posted June 10, 2019 Report Posted June 10, 2019 Demski and coombs are similar and wolitarsky and peterman are similar, so that is a good situation for back ups should the bombers bring coombs in. So which other Manitoba runningbacks/receivers does Walters need to complete his collection?
Geebrr Posted June 10, 2019 Report Posted June 10, 2019 Isn't Alex Taylor in Edmonton from Winnipeg? We should trade for him. Pass on LaFrance. Jaxon 1
Nickthesizz Posted June 10, 2019 Report Posted June 10, 2019 Coombs seems like a good fit for our offence. Wouldn't mind seeing a rotation with Demski to give him a break once in a while to keep both guys healthy.
sweep the leg Posted June 10, 2019 Report Posted June 10, 2019 Coombs is still on 26. I was surprised by that. Seems like he's been around forever... SPuDS, shadybob and wbbfan 2 1
bearpants Posted June 10, 2019 Report Posted June 10, 2019 I honestly think Coombs is a slightly better version of Demski... you just never know how many games you'll actually get from Coombs... history suggests not very many... SPuDS, Bigblue204 and Colin Unger 3

Geebrr Posted June 10, 2019 Report Posted June 10, 2019 Wasn't Demski an actual receiver in CIS? Hard to expect Coombs to just slide into the role at the pro level.
