Noeller Posted June 12, 2019 Report Posted June 12, 2019 Congrats -- sincerely wish he'd have been able to get his ring in 2007. Shame he never got the opportunity to play in that GC. bigg jay, Fan Boy, HardCoreBlue and 12 others 5 10
Mr Dee Posted June 12, 2019 Report Posted June 12, 2019 Do what’s best for you Kevin. You deserve it. Still think you should be on the Rider roster.. Ripper 1
17to85 Posted June 12, 2019 Report Posted June 12, 2019 surprising because I was certain that someone would air lift him in as an emergency at some point in the season. Perhaps that's still a plan? Mr Dee, wbbfan and Atomic 3
kelownabomberfan Posted June 12, 2019 Report Posted June 12, 2019 he had played for every team in the league, nothing more to do. Thanks KG for the memories, 2007 was a wonderful year. Noeller, wbbfan and Wideleft 3
do or die Posted June 12, 2019 Report Posted June 12, 2019 Kevin and I have come a long way together. Spent better part of 2 decades, defending this guy, on various sites... Wideleft, SPuDS and wbbfan 3
Jimmy Pop Posted June 12, 2019 Report Posted June 12, 2019 What’s Kevin Eiben up to these days anyway? Screw that guy. Congrats, KG! Hell of a career. Not a HOFer in my books.. but that’s OK. wbbfan, Noeller, rebusrankin and 2 others 5

He could be the qb2/3 for 3/4s of the league if not more.
BBlink Posted June 12, 2019 Report Posted June 12, 2019 I was just saying the other day that I didn't think he'd retire, ever. So obviously this comes as a surprise to me. Had his best years here as a Bomber (and probably should retire a Bomber). Thanks KG. wbbfan 1
Nolby Posted June 12, 2019 Report Posted June 12, 2019 (edited) I still know if that f*ck Kevin Eiben hadn't broke his arm that we would have won the grey cup in 2007.congrats KG! Edited June 12, 2019 by Nolby Wideleft, Noeller and the watcher 3

Correct me if I'm wrong but: Wpg- minimal, Sask-50% of snaps, Edm-Zero.

Big gaps in play and still produce a lot better then guys who have never been pro starters. The gap between Experienced starting qbs and ones with minimal pro experience is one of the biggest in sports.
MC Posted June 12, 2019 Report Posted June 12, 2019 I am surprised because he could really help some teams and stands to make some money by being an emergency replacement for a team that loses a QB and believes they are in the hunt. There really is no reason for him to announce his retirement unless he wants to make it clear that he is not going to consider that option. He has had a hell of a career and should leave the game with no regrets. He has conducted himself with a lot more class than several of he situations deserved. wbbfan and VoR 2

Injuries nothing, he could walk into Ottawa or Montreal right now and be the unquestioned starter, Saskatchewan too probably. Ripper, wbbfan and Tracker 1 1 1
TrueBlue4ever Posted June 12, 2019 Report Posted June 12, 2019 (edited) He'll be back. Needs that Halifax jersey to round out the set once they join as an expansion franchise. Edited June 12, 2019 by TrueBlue4ever Blueandgold, Tracker, wbbfan and 2 others 2 3

He might physically be able to put a few series together, but for a QB who was notorious for folding with the yips when he was in his prime....well. I don't know of any athlete who becomes less anxious with age.

Thats true. Though I think montreal will be alright with development. I bet he would be the starter by LD in To as well. 1 hour ago, Pete Catan's Ghost said: He might physically be able to put a few series together, but for a QB who was notorious for folding with the yips when he was in his prime....well. Im not saying he would be a great option, but a whooole lot better then the alternative.
