He played the last 2 seasons without getting hurt (18 games). That about quashes the notion that he is injury prone.  In football it is common to get hurt.

How many years has he been in the league? Almost a decade & since he was acquired from the Riders in late 2013 he's only played 2 full seasons. (One for sure. Not certain it's been two). This year, he disappeared the first day of training camp & his injury as well as possible return has been shrouded in mystery. He's missed more games than he played. That's being injury prone.

Why the secrecy with Neufeld? Is it because he is a constant injury machine & last year was just a fluke? Like why won't the Bombers say what's wrong with him? Or have they & I somehow missed it?

come on, that's easy, it's one of two things... it's either a upper or lower body injury... you should know that by now, lol...

I think he means he is fine by "hidden". Teams don't talk about hiding players on the IR, generally.

this just in... it's being reported that the league 'frowns' upon teams that knowingly place uninjured players on the injured reserve list, 1 game or 6 game... film at 11...

I fully believe Neuf is a team player and is being hidden on the IR.

Yup... saving his salary off the cap.

If Speller looks worse than a 1 gamer then I fully expect Neufeld to make a pretty quick reappearance.

Okay, back on topic.

B.C. looks to be getting back on track with their offense...but their defense still sucks. I'm a lot more concerned about this game than I would have if it was played a few weeks ago. The dink n dunk system of Nichols may need to be upgraded (we need to score more).

In game 1 that BC Lions o-line was horrid and we did not blitz often and I was hoping that we would put more pressure on Reilly.

Seeing how ineffective our blitz has been the last several games.... I'm not sure if we should be heavy on the blitz.

Agreed. Seems like our blitz ranks near the bottom of the league in terms of effectiveness.

So whose the 5th OL if Speller can't go, do we pull Eli off the PR or Darell Williams?

I would like to see Eli in at least spot duty. Dejarlais took a few plays to settle in but acquitted himself well after that. I know there is the adage that you cannot have enough good NI O-linemen but Jeez, we seem to be nice and deep at that position and Neufeld's value is not increasing as trade bait.

after re-watching the Stamps game last night, I'm far more concerned about our D vs the Lions O than I am about our O vs their D.....

Why? MR is great but likely playing hobbled. Burnham is all CFL but outside of that they don't have much on offense.

I do too but what is wrong with him? Why the secrecy?

I think he could play. Lower body injury leaves a lot of options on the table. The secrecy is because he's not actually hurt and they just can't find a spot for him and the younger guys.

Totally my conspiracy theory.

Oh, I was making a statement about our D vs our O right now......I really don't think Nichols and the offense were that bad vs Calgary, but the D was very suspect at times....
