Rich Posted September 29, 2019 Report Posted September 29, 2019 Jets leave themselves with $7.7M in cap space this season. $7.6M of which was ear marked for Buff. Remember when they first came back and a lot of the talk was that they would be a budget team and never a cap team. BomberBall, Goalie, JCon and 1 other 4

The Unknown Poster Posted September 29, 2019 Report Posted September 29, 2019 Also I think even Chapman under estimated the potential success of the team. Their business model relies on the jets to be an engine that drives everything else. If all they had was the Jets sure they’d be budget. But the true north empire has been a huge success. They can afford it. And this is the window. kelownabomberfan 1

I just watched the overtime and man was that fun to watch. The energy felt like it was a regular season game. Morrisey is going to have a monster year especially if Buff isn't apart of the team and he on the number one power play unit.

FrostyWinnipeg Posted September 30, 2019 Report Posted September 30, 2019 (edited) Well according to the Freep, PaMa has said Heinola has made the team and they'll decide after 10 games what to do. Gusta is expected to head back to Europe for one more season. Now that pre-season is over Buff can come back now Edited September 30, 2019 by FrostyWinnipeg
The Unknown Poster Posted September 30, 2019 Report Posted September 30, 2019 looks like Gus May have made the team too. Little injury serious?
BomberBall Posted September 30, 2019 Report Posted September 30, 2019 Ken Wiebe @WiebeAthletic 17h During his post-game address with reporters in St. Paul, #NHLJets HC Paul Maurice said he didn't like the Luke Kunin hit on Bryan Little. "That was a horse (expletive) hit, by the way. I didn't like it at all." Maurice felt Kunin knew where Little's head was when he finished hit
FrostyWinnipeg Posted September 30, 2019 Report Posted September 30, 2019 (edited) Surprised about Nogier with Niku still injured but I think that now means that Kulikov will switch to RHD until he returns. Edited September 30, 2019 by FrostyWinnipeg

Yes I expect the 2020 Spengler Cup will be featuring a line of JC Lipon, Nic Petan and Patrice Cormier. Interestingly enough, all three of those guys played for Canada at various times at the World Junior championships.
