Mark H. Posted October 6, 2019 Report Posted October 6, 2019 I don’t see any reason why he’d do it. I mean, he probably knows Lapo’s O but Lapo’s O doesn’t work. the watcher 1
the watcher Posted October 6, 2019 Report Posted October 6, 2019 The last game was the equivalent of bringing in Glenn and designing a game plan around him running the ball. Tracker, Bigblue204 and Mark H. 3
rebusrankin Posted October 6, 2019 Report Posted October 6, 2019 Kevin Glenn is not walking into IG Field. Dunigan is not walking into IG Field, Burris is not walking into IG Field. Clements is not walking into IG Field. Khari will be there this Saturday but he'll be coaching the Als. Jesse and the watcher 2
blueingreenland Posted October 6, 2019 Report Posted October 6, 2019 The guy on post game rider radio - 650- said the Bombers are wasting a championship - type defense this year because their weakness is QB. I'd tend to agree at this point. Bringing in Kevin Glenn and promising him the starters job by the last game of season is likely our ONLY hope of winning a playoff game. We likely won't win even one more game this year with Streveler.

Given O'Shea's stubbornness, Hall will be back again, and the problems with the offence and offensive game planning will still be there. A change in quarterbacking will not change anything substantial.
BaconNBigBlue Posted October 7, 2019 Report Posted October 7, 2019 Yeah we should regress and bring in an older QB and hand him the keys. No future in that! The Classic 1

Yeah If we were gonna try n dig up a qb from the graveyard, glenn wouldnt be the guy id go to. I think alot more people would be happy on here if we made the argos trade davis sanchez "leaked" though

WBBFanWest Posted October 7, 2019 Report Posted October 7, 2019 Yes, I'm all for bringing in Kevin Glenn, a guy who over and over, showed us why they call him Mr. October, which would be great except for the fact that the CFL season goes for another month.

We have the cap space, they are 1-4 in their last 5 and still have a chance to host a playoff game. If you're fine just giving up on the season, well fine, that's you... I think they need to at least try and do something. blueingreenland 1

Arnold_Palmer Posted October 7, 2019 Report Posted October 7, 2019 Trade for MBT the guy can at least sling the ball. See what happens when he doesn’t have a pathetic defense and non existent running game in front of him. bryan35 and wbbfan 2
AKAChip Posted October 7, 2019 Report Posted October 7, 2019 Some would argue that MBT only slings the ball because of the pathetic running game and defence. He’s a pure volume guy who makes colossal errors as often as he makes a good play. And this is assuming that LaPo takes the training wheels off and actually designs an offence that features pushing the ball downfield and we all know that’s not going to happen regardless of the QB.

It inflates his attempts for sure, but the lack of OL and depth makes it harder to continually gain yards. When the D knows you are dropping back to pass every snap, they are coming for you like that dont when you have a run game, and defenses are a lot more aggressive when they know your D cant keep their O off the field. So it goes both ways. The fact hes producing with a poorly run offense and a brutal ol speaks for it self. he doesnt make a colossal amount of mistakes, he makes the mistakes you would expect from a volume passer throwing down field a lot. Similar to reilly and others. As for plop adjusting to him, yeah thats a problem. But last year we saw management step in with the defensive scheme and play call openly when it was an issue. We could see the same thing with plop.
Noeller Posted October 7, 2019 Report Posted October 7, 2019 Nobody can come in and learn the playbook and develop chemistry with the offense in this short of time. It's pointless.
Colin Unger Posted October 7, 2019 Report Posted October 7, 2019 Odds are greater that he would do it now then back when they couldn’t gaurentee that Nichols wouldn’t come back this year and he was being asked to back up Streveler. He can certainly learn enough to play 60% of the reps and have Streveler come in and do his package as well. He’s played for Lapo effort and had his best season under him.

However we need to be hanging on to our draft picks to get into the Masoli sweepstakes this offseason.

I’m not saying he’s Tom Brady but he’s a lot better then anything else available on the market right now. We don’t need a super star at QB to win. We just need someone who is competent.
