Was hoping to hear Jets traded Heinola, Barlow, and a 1st (and maybe more) to Pittsburgh for Sidney Crosby. Too late?

And Elias Petterson is still out there as a centre, but I would not touch that contract without some severe salary retention by the Canucks.

It would be fascinating to watch the Bruins (very tight for that wildcard spot) make the playoffs this year after heavily unloading their existing talent especially with some going to their rivals.

I was looking at the 2010 draft and the Trashers could have had Nelson in that draft, as they picked 9th and Nelson went in the first round, 30th pick.  Who did the Thrashers draft instead?  Burmistrov.  Man did Chevy get handed a total turd of a team with zero prospects when he took over.

Jets didn’t get better but they didn’t get worse. Currently they the best team in league and we keep our shitty late 1st. They need to finish 1st over Dallas tho otherwise it’s prob us vs Colorado and that’s not fun. Dallas vs Colorado would be best case scenario rd 1. Think Colorado catches the Wild but not us. 14 points back is lots.

Teams going crazy but 2 best teams currently make 3 total moves and all for depth. Jets bringing in Luke and Tanev and Washington with Beauvillier.

Ottawa got better tho. Cozens definitely an improvement on Norris who can’t stay healthy and Zetterlund has 16 goals and 19 assists with SJ. 2 solid moves for them. Boston Buffalo trading in division is wild.

As the competitive nature comes out in me then even more reason to win the cup and send a pic to BN. Hope he disappears in the playoffs like he did at the four nations.

Embrace Tanev’s eagerness to play here. Obviously Winnipeg is not a draw for some players but so far we are doing pretty good without them.

Most Cup Winners over the last decade did not get the big fish on deadline day.  You'll see a lot more character/glue guys than superstars.

Yeah I was gonna mention most of that there but was gonna add. Whoever tsn says are winners is usually the kiss of death for that team. So im ok with being a loser on deadline day and the free agent frenzy. Most these experts expected the jets to suck. Let’s keep that in mind.

Saw another clip of Johnson talking about the jets picking up Schenn and how that was good and the jets don’t have too many gaps but in another segment picks the Jets as the ultimate losers with this years trade deadline. 

The Jets so need to go deeper into the playoffs this year or they’re going to continue to hold the label as post season pretenders.

Their picks are weird. 
 

essentially most of them picked teams who traded for “big names”. But Rantanen for example had like 8 points with Carolina. Can he produce away from MacKinnon cuz jury out there still and for as nice as Nelson would have been, I don’t think he’s the difference between winning and losing. 
 

if I’m Arniel my top 4 Centers for playoffs in order Scheifele Lowry Names Gus/Kupari. Put Ehlers with Lowry and Nino to add some scoring although Perfetti names Ehlers dominating 5 on 5. 
 

think we good forwards wise but Stanley prob starting in playoffs isn’t good. Don’t like our d depth if a Josh or pionk go down. Also when I look at who got firsts, only Rantanen was prob worth it and again I say prob cuz 2 1sts plus Stankhoven is a pretty big haul for a guy who hasn’t done much away from MacKinnon
