Calgary has had a plug and play OL, its starting to look more and more like its coaching and culture... so Sask is still fkd Even with bryant, the OL it self is greater then the sum of its parts. If any thing that proves the point that its about the unit and not a singular player. Bond was far more dominant here then hardrick. Which is hard for a guard to do. Couture and speller had been here a while, gray was hurt thats why desjarlais came in. Its not just the coaches, the front office finds the modular pieces, guys with talent and the right mind set to fit in and the coaching staff molds them into a unit. 100% coaching culture and scouting. We are still seeing fruits of the work of bob wiley as well. If you develop an OL a good team will end up with a good player. A bad team it doesnt matter if you sign a denis or bond etc you will continually field a crap OL. Costello is in his guy and in his style. 3 years of wiley, 1 splashy sign and a bunch of internal development has left us with the deepest OL in the league.
Booch Posted February 18, 2020 Report Posted February 18, 2020 Hardrick has been a pretty steady bordering on dominant right tackle as you can find...Also when he was brought in here he was asked/told to change a few things body wise with him and if he met those conditions then he was getting a shot...he did. and he himself said it saved his career...it's not like he fluked into the position..the staff at the time identified something to bring his game up...and the results speak for themselves

I feel like Winnipeg and Calgary have plug and play OL now - based on buy-in not so much talent/size
Booch Posted February 18, 2020 Report Posted February 18, 2020 we are exactly in that place...guys backing up who step right in...depth right across the board

Geebrr Posted February 19, 2020 Report Posted February 19, 2020 $120 for the whole season + playoff home game. Good deal Bigblue204 and Noeller 2
Noeller Posted February 19, 2020 Report Posted February 19, 2020 If the Bombers had seasons for around $100, I'd buy a pair, even tho I'm in AB. Use em the one time per year I'm home and give em away outside of that... Just to help the club a bit. Get on it, Wade... Blueandgold, AB BomberFan, Geebrr and 2 others 3 2

I'm assuming this is in reference to the playoff format... the reason Wade would like this better is because the "new" format would've given the Bombers a home playoff game the last two year... AKA more revenue... Bigblue204 and GCJenks 2
CodyT Posted February 19, 2020 Report Posted February 19, 2020 Hey who's hosting 2021 GC? We should be in the running to be hosting soon, no?
stevethe3rd Posted February 19, 2020 Report Posted February 19, 2020 Hamilton is already confirmed as hosting.

Noeller Posted February 19, 2020 Report Posted February 19, 2020 we just had it like 4 years ago...we won't get it for at least another 5 or 6 years.....if that. Bigblue204 1

Bigblue204 Posted February 19, 2020 Report Posted February 19, 2020 Yeah they'll go through BC and TO likely once more before coming back to WPG. So at least 4 years.
Bomber_fanaddict Posted February 19, 2020 Report Posted February 19, 2020 Have they built any new hotels or like 12 in Regina yet? That's the largest piss off of them hosting a GC is the lack of places to stay. That and the smell. rebusrankin 1
rebusrankin Posted February 19, 2020 Report Posted February 19, 2020 Hamilton in 2021. Likely BC and Toronto next, so Winnipeg in 2024 or 2025 would be my guess. Regina should never host. It lacks the hotel space, eating establishments and overall infrastructure. Plus in the immortal words of Ballers: It ******* blows. Noeller, Bigblue204 and Geebrr 2 1
Dirty30 Posted February 19, 2020 Report Posted February 19, 2020 (edited) I loved it in Calgary. I thought they did a great job... having said that... I could have been in Portage La Prairie and wouldn’t have known for the most part. I have a good time everywhere Edited February 19, 2020 by Dirty30

Tracker Posted February 20, 2020 Report Posted February 20, 2020 I suspect that as soon as the new owners are confirmed in Montreal and put up the security, they will awarded the Cup game. Geebrr 1
