Tiffany Trump, Donald Trump's 26 year old daughter with actress and 2nd Trump wife Marla Maples, reportedly tested positive for the COVID-19 Caronavirus. 

That would be news standing alone, but Social Media is abuzz because she apparently tested positive last Saturday.  The liberal media is out on force on this one, with any number of new conspiracy theories popping up.

No comment as of yet from the President's daughter, although she has been active on Social Media in recent days.

This is a reminder for us all though; The COVID-19 Caronavirus can get any of us.

I think Folklorama could stand to take a few years off... to many pavilions have gone from showcasing the culture to trying to gouge people into buying over priced food and booze.

besides I'm not sure I have the patience to wait in line forever anymore for a pavilion to open

 

now I just see Fringe Fest as a reason to go shopping in the Exchange, I like the little kiosks, and Red River books.

The Ex should take a page from state fairs and should be in late august when kids are not at school. Showcase agriculture more and ffs call it what it is...The Red River Exhibition! They are still using the logo from the 80s!

Here's my beef with Folkorama after one week a third of the Pavilions just change name. You should not be representing the same country twice in 2 weeks.

In Calgary, the Stampede is still a go. very little talk of cancelling. I think it should be cancelled as upwards of a million people show up every year although a lot of visitors are American or from Europe. So borders may still be closed. What I'm seeing with these fairs & festivals is that they seem to wait before announcing they're cancelling even though the government is telling us to stay indoors, limiting the amount of people gathering together & use social distancing.  Or businesses are shuttering & layoffs continue. Like the health of people aren't important just as long as they get their festivals in & make their money.

As far as I know the Ex travels across Canada to different cities.  I remember seeing the "Ex" in Ottawa.     My biggest issue with the ex these days is the price and the folks who attend are really sketchy. Similar to certain pop up carnivals that are around town. It seems like it attracts the bad crowd.  Also the rides and everything else is heavily dated.  

Folklorama ,  I know for a few pavilions they have multiple events because the community has a lot of infighting and instead of agreeing and doing one.... they each do their own.

A lot of work and planning goes into things that big though, I understand waiting until as late as possible to cancel.

man I imagine so many seasonal businesses are going to be effected too, Fun Mountain, Tinkertown, the ice cream exclusive Dairy Queens
