Noeller Posted December 31, 2020 Report Posted December 31, 2020 I'm 100% with Iso on this. You can't possibly compare the so called negativity of stay-at-home orders to the virus itself. That's insanity. Tracker and Eternal optimist 2
Mark H. Posted December 31, 2020 Report Posted December 31, 2020 Something gets brought up that’s a legitimate concern, and just because it is not exactly the mainstream narrative, it gets glossed over as ‘so - called negativity.’ This gentleman would have died without intervention, and there’s no way to know how many others like him there are. I am not against the stay at home orders, but they could be presented in a way that is less fear - inducing.
Wanna-B-Fanboy Posted December 31, 2020 Report Posted December 31, 2020 Here we we go- LA just hit what every healthcare professional has been worried about and warned everyone about at the beginning of the pandemic: not being able to provide people with health care, because the hospitals are overrun. Let's not let that happen here. Be safe, wash hands, shelter in place as much as you can and wear a mask. Noeller 1

iHeart Posted January 2, 2021 Report Posted January 2, 2021 I guess it is for the best that students in grades 7-12 get the extra holiday or remote learning Wanna-B-Fanboy 1

Goalie Posted January 2, 2021 Report Posted January 2, 2021 Xmas numbers will be out closer to the 8th of Jan. My area was dead quiet minus the raging drunks near by. But that's normal for them so yeah. Wanna-B-Fanboy 1

Noeller Posted January 3, 2021 Report Posted January 3, 2021 Well, great start to the new year for our family. My mother in law, in LTHC with MS, got her first dose today. Will get the second next month we're told. That's all I really wanted for Christmas.... GCJenks, Wanna-B-Fanboy, bigg jay and 2 others 5
Tracker Posted January 3, 2021 Report Posted January 3, 2021 Thank God this, as tentative as it is, has started. So far, the mom of one of my colleagues and the adult son of a friend living in St. Amant have both died of the virus. Rumour hath it that a prominent NHL player is very ill with it as well. Noeller Posted January 3, 2021 Report Posted January 3, 2021 I may have missed it earlier but had there been any word about the 3rd vaccine (Astra Zeneca) coming to Canada? I haven't seen anything... Of we've even made deals to procure some of it when available. At any rate, here's hoping that we get more and more and more... Wanna-B-Fanboy 1

Canada has apparently secured more vaccines per capita than most countries. It won't be a question of having enough. The issues will be each province getting it's **** together and vaccinating people. Noeller and Wanna-B-Fanboy 2

Yes there is a deal for this vaccine to come to Canada, 20 million doses were pre-ordered in the fall pending approval. The government was criticized at the time as they were late signing on to this vaccine which was furthest along at the time. Noeller and Wanna-B-Fanboy 2
